Internet safety.Children around the age of 10-13 

tend to join social networking sites like: Whatsapp, 

Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter and also 

Tumblr. There are many websites that I have not 

mentioned but they join because of peer pressure or 

because they just feel like joining them. If this is 

you then read this book because you may not know 

the hazards that are harmful about some social 

networks.

There was a girl called Amber who recently joined 

Facebook because her best friend asked her to join so 

that they may be able to communicate everyday. Little 

did Amber know that Facebook is not a safe site for 

children under the age of 13. So she joined it faking her 

age but added her real information:where she lives,her 

phone number,her real name and her email address.She 

didn't tell her mum or dad about this and kept it a secret 

to herself. One day when she went to school,her mum 

found that Amber was on Facebook and never logged 

out.Amber's mum left the Facebook page without 

changing anything.When Amber came back home she 

went straight to her computer and found a friend 

request from someone she doesn't know so she 

accepted the request and starting chatting with him.

Amber was then attacked by the man who got 

he information by asking her where she lives 

and he lied that he is the same age as her.One 

day as she was home alone, the man came to 

her doorstep and kidnapped her. Her mother 

came home and found nobody and phoned the 

police. She was brought back home safely but 

she was in trouble by her mum and her mum 

shut down her Facebook account
