September 8th, 2001
I was born at Danbury Hospital at 10:35 am. I
was given the name of Emily Elizabeth Barata.
I weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces. When I was
born, the doctors tried to wake me up but I
was so tired I refused to open my eyes.

2002
I took my first steps at 10 months old. After I
started walking, I fell and bumped my head
on the corner of a chest. I immediately went
to the hospital because I had a huge
hematoma on my head. However, I never
started crying.

2004
My first day of preschool, I did not want my
parents to leave. Every day, my teachers
would have to pry me off of my mom or dad.
Ever since, the first day, I did not like to nap
during nap time. Instead, I would lay down in
the corner singing songs.

2005
My first time playing soccer was in 2005. In
the middle of the soccer game, I used to dig or
do cartwheels. Sometimes, I even used to play
with mud and throw it around. However, when
I was actually playing I quickly learned how to
dribble and pass.

2006
I picked out my first dog Sabrina in 2006. I
knew I wanted her as soon as I saw her. She
was very timid around everyone in my family
except for me for around a month. Now, she is
the best dog I could ever ask for.

2007
My first trip to Disney is one of my favorite
memories. However, I didn't enjoy one ride my
father made me go on that scared the living
daylights out of me. That ride was called
Splash Mountain. Once I got on it, I wouldn't
stop holding onto the handle bar. Additionally,
right before the drop I started screaming and
didn't stop until it was over. .

2009
In 2009, I went white water rafting with my
family while we were at my sisters softball
tournament in Colorado. Rafting was very fun
for me because I didn't have to paddle.
Instead, I was just allowed to hold onto the
raft and try not to fall out. In addition, I
remember my sister falling out of the raft and
me laughing at her.

2010
I got my first pair of skis in 2010. When I first
started, I went to a ski lesson and accidentally
went down the hill backwards. My first time
trying to get on skis I fell down. After around
two hours of lessons, I was finally able to ski
down beginner trails.

2014
On my 13th birthday, I became a teenager. I
got many presents like a new hair curler,
headbands for soccer, jewelry, and a new
alarm clock. In addition, I got lots of money in
which I can use for whatever I want. Best of
all, I got a carvel cake that was made out of
ice cream.
