CHAPTER 1: BEGGING
Madeline always wanted to go to Paris, she would read books about it and obviously really wanted to go to there.
"Mom please! I'll do anything !"
"How many times have I told you? We are too poor to go right now, we'll maybe go another day just leave me alone and go back to playing with your toys Madeline! "
Madeline was in tears, she didn't like getting yelled at.
As she ran to her room. Madeline was blinking (A LOT) to stop her tears, but it didn't help much, she decided to follow her mother's orders and wait another day. Her family never had much wealth, they didn't have a gigantic flat screen tv, instead, they didn't even have a television. They read books and played with board games and toys. It was all they could afford after all, Anyways, Madeline is going to third grade soon, she only has 3 days left until she has to take the bus, again.
Although Madeline is excited to see her friends again, she is worried about her grades and if her teacher is gonna like her. Madeline was already counting down the days until school again, in fact, it's already night time. Madelines bedtime is at 9:30, she looked at the clock, it read 9:00. It's time for dinner. Madeline opens the door and walks to the kitchen, she sits down and waits for her meal.
CHAPTER 2: DINNER TIME
When her meal arrived she grabbed her fork and started feasting, her sister who is going to college with a scholarship talks with mom and dad, they are discussing about her college. Madeline stayed quiet and kept eating, she finished before everyone else, after all everyone was too busy chatting. Madeline went inside her room and slept. Tomorrow there would be only two days left until third grade.
CHAPTER 3: I'm still waiting
Madeline yawned, it was only 2 days until school, school is boring and exhausting to her usually. She woke up and went out of her room to go eat some breakfast. She had cereal.
Madeline put her plate in the sink and went back to her room, she decided to read a book because she was very bored.
"Oh hello there my name is Charlie!" Charlie shakes her hand in the book and continues chatting with the main character of the book, They went to New York together and had a happily ever after. Madeline kept reading more books, she was very tired again and started to fall asleep.
Two hours later, Madeline felt a very painful sensation and woke up
. "WAKE UP! WE ARE GOING on a road trip!"
"Huh?"
"Finally you're awake, go change quickly."
"o-okay."
Madeline listened to her sister and changed, she was still in pain because her sister slapped her so she could wake up.
"Oh I just bet we're going to Wal-Mart or some random store with school supplies, Madeline sighed and went to the entrance. " You finally woke up huh?" said mom. The family went inside the car and dad started driving.
CHAPTER 4: ROADTRIP
Madeline sighed and looked out the car window, she saw beautiful mountains, but when she looked down, she was disappointed with the amount of cars ruining the view. Madeline still didn't know where they were going, so she asked her dad.
"Ah yes dear, your sister didn't tell you eh? Anyways, we are going to Dollar Tree."
"Dollar what?"
"Dollar Tree."
"What is that?"
"My co workers told me that everything there was only 1.25$, so we're going back to school shopping there."
"Seriously? I already wanna shop there!*
Madeline got all excited and looked at the car window again. This time she saw more cars, she then looked up once again and saw the words "Dollar Tree."
Madeline and her family got out the car and went inside, they were a little disappointed because the store was so small, they didn't find lunch boxes but found other useful items. They bought some food and noodles for Iris, Madeline's sister. Madeline picked out some nuts and then they checked out. "Your total is 50 bucks." said the cashier.
While dad paid, she was wondering something, dad says he can't buy a television because it's too expensive, but he can spend $300 worth at this restaurant we ate at. "Mom, how can dad afford to eat at expensive restaurants but not afford a television?"
"Oh you see sweetie, I should really tell you why. Dad and I simply don't think it's necessary."
"Why?"
"Because you have your toys and books."
"Okay mom, but spending $300 on fancy food isn't necessary either."
Mom just looked at her and told Madeline that they should just go in the car now. Madeline starting thinking, she then realized something. Her dad keeps spending the family funds!
Madeline found that dad made most of the family's income, he only spends his money on the house and his own stuff. (excluding food)
She decides that she'll talk to her mother privately later. Madeline looked out the window and saw a man, he started climbing a store's roof while the police was chasing him, she was enjoying the scene and
ate her nuts. Ten minutes later, they were at Wal-Mart. They went inside and shopped for more school supplies, checked out, blablabla. once they got in the car, they drove to a place where not even Iris knew they were going to. Iris started reading a book she brought while Madeline simply just sat there watching her read.
Madeline looked out the window again and saw the words "North Brooklyn Mall". Madeline has only been there once and had the best experience ever, she patiently waited for the car to stop and then she got out, when they went inside, she saw hundreds of people crowding the mall.
CHAPTER 5: Mall
The family went to a children's clothing store and starting shopping for new clothes for the new school year, Madeline wanted a pink backpack and a cute water bottle she saw. Once they were finished with that store, they went to Five Below
and purchased clothes for Iris and themselves, they finished with some food at the mall and new toys + books. Dad drove back home and we had a fun day, It ending at around 9:20 PM. Madeline rushes to Mom and asks her to come to her room for a private talk.
"What do you wanna talk about?"
CHAPTER 6: JUST SOME TIPS!
"I wanna talk advice.
"Oh and what advice?"
"Divorce dad."
"WHAT?! oh I mean, why? We have been married for 10 years now."
"Because all dad does is spend our family funds."
"Oh so you're saying you're not grateful for the stuff he bought you?"
"Okay yeah yeah you got a point, forget about a divorce. Go talk to him to not spend the family funds and instead save some money and give us expensive vacations every year instead of every month, And also tell him one fancy restaurant once a year too. I hate money wasters."
"Alright." Replied mom.
Madeline went to bed and dreamt about a puppy visiting the Eiffel Tower. Also, 1 more day until school.

CHAPTER 7: GOODBYE IRIS!
Today was the day Madeline's sister finally moves to college. Iris was packing her bags while the others were getting ready for another day in the car. Everyone got up nice and early for breakfast, they ate quickly and went inside the car. It was only a 1 hour drive, Madeline hugged Iris and said goodbye. Dad drove back home.
Madeline thought about Iris and cried a little, she wouldn't see her sister again in 4 years. She decided to take a shower to distract herself from the reality. She had a little concert in the shower and left. Tomorrow was the first day of school Madeline thought, she was still trying to distract herself.
Time passed, Madeline had ate lunch and is now at the dinner table eating silently. She didn't look at her parents.
"What's wrong dear?" Questioned dad.
"Oh nothing.."
"Whatever you say Madi."
Madeline finished her meal and flopped onto her bed.
CHAPTER 8: FIRST DAY
Madeline woke up and yawned, she woke up at 6:00 and changed into a little pink cardigan, Madeline brushed her teeth and poured herself some cereal. She organized her backpack and waited 5 minutes for the bus to arrive.
Madeline walked in with people shouting "MOVE!" and "HURRY UP!" madeline was careful not to mess up and quickly picked an empty seat. She looked at the back only to find two people arguing.
"I didn't steal anything from you!"
"Girl yes you did!"
"Did not!"
"Did so!"
"WHO EVEN LIKES YOUR TACKY DOLLAR STORE PERFUME!"
"GASP! YOU TAKE THAT BACK! I SPENT 50 BUCKS ON THAT THING!'
" BE FOR REAL, YOU SMELL LIKE A WALKING FART."
Ooo, anyways, Madeline decided to look away and mind her own business.
Madeline got off the bus and played at recess, she accidentally tripped on another boy's foot while running and noticed a group of big kids giggling while she got up, she went to her line after the bell rang and stood there patiently. She entered the classroom and read the board and followed instruction.

WELCOME TO 3RD GRADE
MRS. PETERSON
CHAPTER 9: QUESTIONS
"Alright children, as you can tell by the board, my name is Mrs. Peterson. Today I will ask you guys some questions about your summer and you will answer them okay?"
The children shouted "Okay!" Madeline also did.
2 minutes passed, Madeline was too busy listening to other kids instead of raising her hands. Until she finally did.
""What's your most favorite thing you've done this summer?"
Madeline raised her hand.
"I loved it when I was reading books to my lovely dolls."
"Why?" Responded Mrs. Peterson.
"I loved it because I wanna be a teacher when I grow up. " Responded Madaline.
She heard one student say "Oh come in, she doesn't even have a chance." It was that one person who got mad she won against them in a competition.
Madaline ignored their rude remarks ever since, always on the look out. Madaline knows that her dream is to become a teacher and visit Paris, she knows she will achieve it no matter what, not even a jealous overdramatic.

CHAPTER 10: THE FUTURE
Madaline sighs, she has just graduated college and has been looking for a job in teaching. She has been proposed to but she knows she needs a job to support her family, and no man wants a wife with no job. The wedding day is tomorrow and she can't even afford herself a nice jacket. $5 is nothing.
Madaline finds a school hiring for 5th grade, she asks for an interview.
You wanna know what happened?
She didn't get the job. Madaline tried again and again, after 10 attempts, she settled into McDonald's.
"Oh I do must be having the most horrible fate!" Madaline says in anger and sadness.
Madaline took a break on Sunday and tried to find available teaching jobs, still no luck. Until she stumbled upon a preschool. She applied and passed her interview, she quit McDonald's and started teaching, she was happy and all, but she knows she still had one thing to do, and it's gonna take awhile.
