Creativity has no limits - eTwinning project

Once upon a time, nearby a small town called Les Cases, a piece of log appeared in the school.
It was a different log, because it had eyes, nose, mouth and legs.
The students knew the log, because every year it came from the Montsià Mountains to the school, to spent Christmas holidays with the children.
They called it 'Tió', and everyone in the school fed it with fruit peels and, before the Christmas holidays, the Tió shat sweets, chocolates and little presents.

But this year, something strange is happening to the Tió,
It is sad and worried about Christmas.

So Tio decided to fly thousands of kilometers to magically...Romania. He was astonished to see the beauty of this country. "I am absolutely sure that I will find the Christmas spirit here", he thought. So he visited the old villages, lost in time, with old, traditional houses, and old, wise peasants. Tio asked them to sing old carols, and they did.

Then Tio traveled to Dracula's castle. He learned that Dracula was, in fact, a very famous king who was known to punish his enemies in ruthless ways. On the other hand, he loved his country very much.

Tio went to many parts of Romania, but one made him believe that Christmas is real: Balea Lake, located in the Fagarasi Mountains. He visited a hotel made of ice. It looked like Santa's house!

Tio was so happy to find Christmas spirit again! He said goodbye to wonderful Romania and went to discover new fabulous lands on Earth, where Christmas is celebrated.

After his visit to Turkey, Tio arrives in Romania again, exploring local traditions, specific carols and traditional Christmas dishes. He accompanies Santa Claus on a journey full of magic and discovers a wealth of local traditions, delicious food and Christmas carols.

TIO NOEL İÇİN YOZGAT'A GELDİ
Welcome to TIO in Slovakia

It's really cold here. Dress properly and come with us for a trip to the Tatras. Together we visited the Tarta ice house (cathedral) z ladu na Hrebienka. Tio went to school with us, where we decorated the christmas tree (decorate the tree with gingerbread, nuts, orange...)
together and showed him the Advent wreath. The first lit candle means PEACE, the second FAITH, the third LOVE and the fourth HOPE.

Our carolers sang carols to Tio and a theater play was performed for him. He was very happy about it. When we were really cold, we went back to school, where we introduced TIA to SANTA CLAUS, DEVIL and ANGEL and danced him a dance. He was excited. We made Christmas cards together and sent them to other countries.

Hungry, we sat together at the dinner table and prayed for health, peace and love. Honey and I made a cross on our foreheads and ate a wafer, then toast with poppy seeds, cabbage and fish with salad. Our Christmas meal. Do not miss the cakes on the table.

Christmas Eve

After Christmas dinner together, we wrap presents and at midnight we go to church for midnight mass. Thank you TIO for visiting Slovakia and we would love to see you again. Have a nice trip to other countries.

Good bye TIO...
