
Medovníčky
(Gingerbread)
Ingredients:
750 g flour
350 g powder sugar
4 eggs
125 g butter
5 soup spoons of sodium bicarbonate
1 gingerbread spice
How to prepare:
We mix it and leave it for 24 hours in a freezer. Then we roll out the dough and shape it how we want. We put the dough in the oven and leave it there for 10 minutes at 200°C.






Vianočný kololáč (Christmas cake)
Ingredients:
1 kg dried mixed fruit
3 cups orange juice
5 drops of vanilla extract
3cups self raising flour
1 cup blanched almonds to decorate
How to prepare:
In a large bowl, combine the mixed fruit, orange juice, and flour. Cover and allow to soak overnight. Preheat the oven to 150°C. Stir flour into the soaked fruit and mix well. Spoon the mixture into the cake tin and bake for 2.5 hours in the bottom of the oven or until cooked through. Wrap in foil or place in an airtight container, where this cake will keep nicely for 3 - 4 weeks.


Vianočná kapustnica
(Christmas Cabbage soup)
Ingredients:
Smoked ham, pepper, bay leaf, sauerkraut, onion, paprika powder, garlic, dried mushrooms, smoked sausage, marjoram, salt.
How to prepare:
We fry onions and garlic. Then, we add sliced sausage, ham, and mushrooms. After that, we add sauerkraut, salt, pepper, and paprika. Finally, we add hot water and cook for one hour."





Jablkový koláč (Grandma´s apple pie)
Ingredients: Stuffing:
400 g flour 1 kg apples
250 g butter 1 pack of vanilla sugar
1 pack of baking powder brown sugar
2 spoons of milk cinamon
2 eggs
How to prepare:
Begin by combining the flour, butter, baking powder, and powdered sugar. Add eggs and milk. No need to sift; just mix well. Split the pastry into two parts. Peel the apples, add vanilla sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll out the dough, top one portion of pastry with apples, cover with the other rolled-out dough, and bake in the oven at 200°C. Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla cream.






Linecké kolieska (Slovak cookies from Linz)
Ingredients:
300 g plain flour
200 g butter
100 g powdered sugar
2 yolks
2 tea spoons lemon peel
1 pack of vanilla sugar
1 tea spoon of bakin powder
red jam
How to prepare:
Mix the dough ingredients together. I roll out the dough to thickness about 3 mm. I cut out solid shapes and shapes with holes. I bake it for about 7 minutes - oven at 170 C. I brush the cukies that are full with jam.
