Dedicated to the good times in LAI 530

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Rain who lived in a suburban town called Rivendell. The town was always rainy, foggy, and very cold. However, Rain loved that about his town. He was named after the weather in Rivendell after all.

Rain was enjoying another rainy walk home from school. He splashed in puddles and looked up at the clouds to guess what shape they were making. He did one last SPLASH in the biggest puddle on the sidewalk leading to his house. He noticed that both of his parents were home.

Rain quickly walked up the steps and slowly opened the front door to see what his parents were doing home so early. As he walked in, he noticed his parents waiting for him in the dining room.

"Come sit here Rain, his father said. "I know you love Rivendell, but I have been promoted at work and we must move to a new town", said his mom. Rain's heart sank. He felt a storm of emotions brewining inside him. Without a word, he stormed out of his home and ran to the nearby trail.

As Rain wandered down the trail, deeper into the woods, raindrops began to fall from the sky, mirroring his tears. But then, something caught his eye.

The raindrops began to get bigger and bigger.
Everything around him got bigger and bigger.
Everything except for him.

Rain shrunk and shrunk until he was inside a.. Raindrop?!

"What is happening"?! scremed rain
He looked to his right and saw another raindrop. "Don't worry, this is precipitation! Just go with the flow!" said the raindrop.

He moved with the raindrop, down the rocks. Joining the other raindrops to make a flow of water.

The raindrops shouted with joy as they slid down the rocks. It was as if Rain was going down a water slide back home. His smile burned bright as they zipped through the twists, turns, and bumps in their path.

As they slowed down, he noticed a ball of light appear from behind the gloomy clouds.
"It's Miss. Sun", shouted the raindrops.
All of the raindrops began to close their eyes as beams of light began to shine down on them.
Rain closed his eyes too and basked in the warmth of the sun.
