This story is dedicated to anyone who has ever had something stolen from them.

This is Ronnie, a well-known detective who has solved over 100 cases in only three years. After all of his cases, he has never encountered any difficulty.
He felt his phone ringing from his pocket and saw that the chief was calling him, so he prepared to make his way to the station.

*Ring* *Ring*
"Oh it's a call from the chief, maybe I should go to the station."

When Ronnie arrived at the station, Steve, who was the chief, informed him that a robbery had occurred. Steve continued by saying that it took place at a big house in the center of town.
Ronnie immediately got ready to go home to gather his supplies to find the robber.
Ronnie told Steve, "Don't worry Chief, I'll make sure this robber goes behind bars."

"Don't worry Chief, I'll make sure that this robber goes behind bars."
"A robbery happened in the middle of town, could you go check it out?"

Ronnie returned to his house and grabbed some of the most important equipment that he needed to solve the case.
These items included a magnifying glass, a camera, and a notepad with a pen.
After grabbing his things, Ronnie headed to the crime scene.

"Alright, now that I have my camera, magnifying glass, and notepad, I'm ready to go!"

When Ronnie arrived at the crime scene, he confronted the two homeowners, George and Mary Johnson, and asked them for information about the robbery.
George and Mary told Ronnie that their wedding rings worth over $10,000 had been stolen by a thief.
Ronnie assured the couple he would find their rings and capture the robber.

"Hello detective, can you please find my husband and I's wedding rings? They are the most precious thing to us!"
"Of course, I will! I will search for the clues and get your ring!"
"Thank you so much sir, we appreciate it!"
After talking to George and Mary Johnson, Ronnie searched all around the house in search of clues that could lead him to the culprit.
Ronnie searched through all the rooms in the house including the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and finally the bedroom.
Once Ronnie entered the bedroom, he saw a few clues that could lead him to the robber who stole the ring.

"Alright, I found a few pieces of evidence let's see what I can do with them..."
The first piece of evidence is a hammer and it may have been used to break the window in the kitchen of the house. A hammer is a very useful tool for construction, but can also be used as a tool to break the glass.
The act of using a hammer to break into the house is an example of burglary. In the United States alone, over 4,500 burglaries happen each day.

The next piece of evidence is the fingerprint, which can be used to identify the robber. The robber's fingerprint was on the dresser handle where the rings were taken.
Fingerprints are a mark made on a surface by a person's fingertip. Every person on the planet has a different fingerprint that distinguishes them from others.

The final piece of evidence that Ronnie can use for this case is a witness who saw the break-in occur. The Johnson's neighbor, Billy Smith, saw the robber leaving their house when he came home from the grocery store.
Because the robber was wearing a mask he could not fully describe what they looked like besides a few descriptions of their basic characteristics such as height and body build.

"Yes, detective, I saw the man leave their house around 1 p.m. He was very tall and seemed to have a bulky build."
