Food
Lions are carnivores. They only eat meat. Some of the animals they eat include, turtles, hogs, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and leopards.

Hunting
Lions gain all their food by hunting for their prey. Lions tend to do most of their hunting for prey at night. Their eyes have adapted to seeing in the dark giving them an advantage. Lions stalk their prey, meaning they get close and eat for the perfect time attack
ENVIRONMENT
Lions live in the savanna and grasslands
They are at the top of the food chain in
their environment.
Trophic Cascade
If lions did not exist, there would be a big trophic cascade. Lions are the apex predator meaning they are at the top of the food chain. If they did not exist many groups of zebras and gazelle would over populate. Those animals eat grass which would cause the grass to die out.

Interactions With other Animals
Lions are Apex carnivores. This means they are not hunted by any animals. They get along well with other lions inside their pack. They are very territorial and very protective of their cubs

Interactions With Humans
Lion try to avoid humans, and areas populated with humans. If they do come across a human they will stay away unless they are scarce on food. Humans and lions do not interact a lot in a Lion's habitat

Interactions With Humans
Lions have interactions with humans in a controlled environment. Examples are zoos, or sanctuaries. The humans and lions create a special bond

Biological and Behavior Changes
Lions are a naturally aggressive animal. Their behavior can change due to how they are treated. In controlled environments lions can be trained to become less aggressive and responsive to words and interactions.
Their behavior can change to very aggressive when they come across poachers, or other humans showing aggression to themselves or their cubs.

Respiratory system
Like most mammals, Lions breathe with lungs. They breathe in oxygen through their nose and out through their mouth. Lions have a a special organ in their mouth Called the Jacobson's organ. This organ improves their sense of smell to be better than most animals. The Jacobson's organ also helps females reproduce.
Digestive System
The lions digestive system is pretty simple. The food travels through the Esophagus. Then it goes to the stomach. It goes to the small intestine to digest quickly.
Nervous System
Very similar to humans, Lions nervous system consist of a brain, spinal cord, and nerves. The Lions brain is the most developed brain out of any cat species. Making them the most intelligent cat.
