"Apples":Greek traditional game

Apples,is an old traditional game.Two players stand facing each other, fifteen to twenty meters away from each other, while in the middle of this distance gather the οther players. The two players standing opposite try with the ball to hit one of the children inside

How to play "apples"

If the ball touches them,they are out of the game,but if they catch it before it touches down they win an ''appie''. The child who manages to catch the ball without falling down wins "an apple" which will allow him, if he "burns" at some point, not to leave, but to remain in the game, or, if one of his friends gets burned, to grant it!

When there is only one child left, the two players with the ball can only make ten attempts to hit it. If he won't be touched by the ball is the winner.

To win you have to be very fast, agile and try to arrive before your competitor.

RUBABANDIERA

Our traditional game is called Rubabandiera (catch the flag)

What do you need to play?

1. A napkin.

2. A person (teacher) holding the napkin (flag bearer).

3. Two teams that compete for the napkin (teams with the same number of players).

4. A free space without obstacles.

The two teams of players are arranged in two parallel rows and each participant is assigned a number, the numbers must be assigned progressively starting from one.

In front of the two rows of players there is the flag bearer who, with one arm stretched forward, is holding a napkin swinging with two fingers. At this point, the flag bearer calls a random number from those assigned to the members of the two teams.

The players called into question (corresponding to the number called) run towards the flag (napkin) with a very specific purpose, to take the flag and return to their position.

In this case, a point is scored for the team of the one who brings the flag to the "base". However, it is also possible to score a point by touching the player who stole the flag and is running towards the base.

The game requires speed and ability (stealing the flag) but also calm and cold blood as many times it is easier to wait near the flag for the competitor to steal it and then touch it and receive the point.

If a player intentionally touches his competitor before the flag is taken, he will automatically give up the point to the other team.

WARNING: Never touch your opponent before the flag is taken.

In some cases it may happen that both competitors grab the flag at the same time, in this case the bet is canceled and the numbers are called.
