This is the story of how I became a professional, despite the difficulties and obstacles that I faced along the way. It is a story of effort, sacrifice, perseverance and love. It is a story that I want to share with you, to inspire you to follow your dreams and never give up.

Chapter 1: The dream of studying
Since I was a child, I always liked to learn new things. I was fascinated by the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. I dreamed of studying a degree related to those fields, and contributing to the development of my country. However, it was not easy for me to access education. My family was humble and did not have enough resources to pay for my studies. Moreover, I had to start working from a very young age, to help my mother, who was widowed and had to take care of my younger siblings. Despite everything, I did not lose hope of studying. I enrolled in a public school, which offered a three-in-one modality, with night classes. Thus, I could work during the day and study at night. It was not easy to adapt to that pace of life, but I had a great motivation: I wanted to be the first professional in my family, and give a better future to my children.

Chapter 2:
The hard work
To be able to pay the fees of the university, and also the alimony of my children, who lived with their mother in another city, I had to work more than usual. I got a job as a maintenance technician in a hospital, where I was in charge of repairing and checking the medical equipment. It was a job that I liked, because it allowed me to apply my knowledge and learn new things. However, it was also a very demanding and stressful job, because I had to comply with the quality and safety standards of the hospital, and because I often had to deal with emergency and risk situations.

In addition to working at the hospital, I also did extra maintenance work on air conditioners. I took advantage of the weekends, holidays and vacations to offer my services at home, to businesses and to individuals. In this way, I could earn some extra money, which helped me to cover my expenses and save for my projects. It was a hard job, but also rewarding, because it allowed me to meet many people and make new contacts.

Chapter 3: The career advancement.
After several years of working and studying, I made a lot of progress in my career. Although I had not yet obtained my engineering degree, I was very close to achieving it. I only had 5 semesters and the final project left. I was sure that I would soon fulfill my dream, and that all the effort would have been worth it. Meanwhile, I received great news: I had been promoted as the head of the maintenance department of the hospital. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate my skills and to lead a team of work. I felt very proud and grateful for that opportunity. However, I also knew that the promotion involved new challenges and responsibilities. I had to learn how to manage the human, material and financial resources of the department. I had to plan, organise, direct and control the maintenance activities. I had to coordinate with other departments and with external suppliers. I had to solve problems, make decisions and face conflicts. I had to train constantly and keep up with technological innovations. In short, I had to do a good job, and prove that I was worthy of the trust that they had placed in me.
