On a day like any other, there lived a young boy named Aiden. Aiden loved to be outside, and he dreamed of adventure. 

    Often he would daydream about adventures in space, sighing happily with a giant smile on his face. 

"Sigh..."

      ?

    But there was a reason for Aiden's want for adventure... He was a bit of a brat. 

    Aiden was tired of the rules at home and always thought he knew better than his parents. He wanted to go away from home to have his own adventure and not be bossed around by anyone. 

    He often exclaimed, "I wish I could be free of those stupid rules!" 

"I wish I could be free of those stupid rules!" 

    One day, Aiden's dad came into his room. Aiden's dad saw him playing on his computer.

    Aidens dad gently takes away the computer. His dad says, "Hey kiddo, you have been on this a while. How about you take a break and draw or read instead?" Aiden's dad pets their dog.

    Aiden pouts, "No fair Dad!" His father walks out of Aiden's bedroom with his computer.

"No fair Dad!"

"Rules are rules."

    The same day, Aiden was in the kitchen with his mom. She was making dinner. 

     Aiden saw a batch of cookies on the counter. Aiden asked his mom, "Can I have some cookies Mom?" His Mom replies, "No dessert before dinner honey." 

    Aiden pouts as they eat dinner.

"No dessert before dinner honey." 

"Hmph."

    After dinner, Aiden had had enough of these rules. He goes to his bedroom and pouts. 

    He draws pictures of space and adventure, imagining what it would be like to be free of rules and overbearing parents.

As he sits in his room, he says, "I wish that I could go away so I wouldn't have to listen to these stupid rules anymore..."

"I wish that I could go away so I wouldn't have to listen to these stupid rules anymore..."

    Soon it becomes night as Aiden sits on his bed, still having enough of rules and being told what to do. He felt so cooped up and didn't want to be at home.

    Then Aiden hears a noise outside. He jumps up to look out his window and sees something outside.... It almost looks like...

     A Spaceship!

"A spaceship!!!"

    Aiden puts on a jacket, goes to the living room. He hurriedly fumbles to put on his shoes.

     He glances out the door to see that the spaceship is still there. 

    He gets on his shoes and bolts for the door.

    He knows he's breaking a rule- Don't go outside my yourself, ESPECIALLY at night.

"Yip!"

"I have to hurry!"

    Aiden goes into his backyard and admires the alien spaceship. 

     He walks around the ship until he sees an alien around the corner.

    The alien looks at Aiden with a smile. Aiden greets the alien excitedly. Then Aiden realizes it is the perfect time to get what he wanted. he asks the alien, "Can I come with you on your spaceship?" The alien nods it's head.
