This book is dedicated to the students and teachers participating in the "Digital Balalance" project. It's about traditional games children can play and enjoy in their free time. Its aim is to encourage them to balance their time towards traditional and online gaming. Through this activities students show their good will to embrace the need for more physical and enjoyable activities.

"Balloon race"

Game description:

Students will be divided into two teams. They will have to race against each other by holding a balloon between their legs. Each team has a starting point and students start to race at the same time by going to the opposite direction. They will pick up a cone and come back without failing to have the balloon between the legs. The team that picks first all the cones is the winning team. Students mustn't touch the balloon during the race.

Tissue Grab Game

The handkerchief game is generally played in a rectangular area. Since it is a handkerchief-snatching competition, it is generally played by selecting two groups. The game begins by selecting a midwife and a referee. Here, the contestants take the handkerchief from the midwife standing in the middle and bring it to their group without being caught by other competitors.The midwife is asked to hold the handkerchief by hanging her hand in the designated circle. Other contestants try to grab the tissue in rivalry with each other. If the contestants of both groups arrive at the same time, they try to distract each other and take the tissue from the midwife and start running quickly.The more players there are in the handkerchief game.

A child says "black queen 1,2,3" and the others run towards her/him. They have to freeze when the speaker turns around. The winner is the one who touches the speaker first.

"The Handkerchief" is a team game played in an open space. The children are divided into two equal groups and placed next to each other in two parallel lines. The players are numbered - each row separately - from 1,2,3, and so on. In the middle of the space a handkerchief is located. Starting the game the leader calls out a number and immediately the children who have the number in both teams run to get the handkerchief. Each of the children must take the handkerchief and run away. If he manages to get the handkerchief to his team, then his team earns a point. Otherwise, the opponent wins. The leader usually calls more than one number at the same time, so it is easy for the children to get confused.

ELASTIC GAME -It is played by at least 3 people. Two people stand and hold the elastic and one person is jumping. The goal of the game is never to get stuck to the elastic. If you do get stuck, you exchange the position with one of the persons who were holding the elastic before

Game Description:
This game required focus and concentration. We would sit in a circle in the garden or playground, and one person would say a simple word.
As the word gets whispered along to each one in the circle till the last person hears it, the question would be "Is the first word similar to the last?"
The more people in the circle, the more interesting it gets! It got even more challenging as we grew older and words got longer and trickier.

Hide and seek is one of our favorite games. This, of course, involves searching. One player is the seeker, and the others are hiding in different places. The searcher counts down to a specific number, and when he has counted, he shouts "I'm looking" and starts the search. The person found first starts the search in the next round. If the seeker doesn't find everyone and shouts that he's giving up, those who haven't been found yet win, but if the seeker finds everyone, he wins.
