Bob walked out of the hallway looking stupefied, his girlfriend just dumped him!  He didn’t know what to do.  He walked out the school door feeling dumb.  

    It was a sunny day in Charlottesville and the sun seemed to be laughing at him.  When he got home he sat on his bed looking at texts from his friends.  He was bored.  Something is missing, he thought some excitement or adventure would do me some good.  

    He left his room, entered the basement, and looked up exciting adventures.  The first thing that popped up was a video game c

    alled Minecraft.  Minecraft? Never heard of it.  He clicked it.  An article popped up.  He read through it, then he read through it repeatedly and couldn’t get enough of it.  This is exactly what I need.  He ran upstairs, grabbed his mom's wallet, and ran back down.  He opened his mom's wallet, punched in the credit card number, and clicked buy.  He opened the launcher and clicked “play” When it loaded it was nothing as he expected.  The article said he should feel a boost of excitement but was empty.  Suddenly a wave of guilt ran over him.  He just spent $49.99 of his mom's money on  

        When his mom called him up he shrank into his chair.  How was he supposed to explain to his mom?  When his mom called again this time much louder and angrier he knew he didn’t have an excuse.  He got out of his chair and walked but something snagged on his pants then CRASH!  In horror, he looked behind him. The table was knocked over and the computer fell and broke.  His Coca-Cola spilled all over the electrical outlet and there was a short BZZRCK! A spark then the lights went out.  He just stood there dumbfounded. At the same time, his little brother and parents were screaming for him.  His computer turned back on.  This he didn’t notice and ran upstairs to explain to his parents.  There was a brief yelling and grounding and when he let go he was ordered to delete that “Silly video game.”
