Once upon a time on a deserted island, there lived three pirates. Peggy
the pirate, who wielded a hook for a hand and a peg for a leg, Skipper,
who was rarely seen without his pet parrot, and Jack who had hair down
to his shoulders and rarely showed his face. They survived off of
whatever they could gather on their island, and things they borrowed
from their other pirate friends. They lived a simple, yet, happy life.

One day, the queen of the island came to them for help. " Our food supply is only going to
last another week, argh! What are we going to do?!", she exclaimed. Peggy the pirate
claimed to have the perfect solution; "In my travels, my mateys and I came across a magical
mermaid who spoke of hidden treasures. Maybe we could borrow her treasures and trade
them for the supplies we need."

The queen interjected, "If we borrow something from someone we must ask
their permission and return it." Peggy reassured the queen that they would
never take anything without permission and she sent them on their way.

It was a long and dangerous journey but the trio finally arrived at the island
Peggy described. They were even hungrier now and anxious to return home
with the mermaid's treasure.

The mermaid spotted the pirates and demanded to know what they
were doing on her island. They explained to her that they were starving
and asked if they could borrow some of her treasure. She told them that
she would be willing to help but would need to ask the other mermaids
if it was okay. They agreed and decided to get some sleep.

The next morning while everyone was still asleep, Peggy decided he was too
hungry to wait any longer and was going to take the mermaid's treasure
himself.

While the mermaid was fast asleep, Peggy swam all the way down to
the bottom of the ocean and took the mermaid's treasure.

Peggy set sail with the treasure before the rest of the gang awoke.

The crashing of the waves on the ships deck woke Jack and Skipper up.
Skipper was very pleased with what Peggy had done, while Jack was not.
"The queen told us to borrow the treasure with the mermaid's permission
and you stole it!", Jack exclaimed. "Argh, but we will never be hungry
again once we trade all of this treasure" said Peggy. Jack demanded that
they return the treasure but there was nothing he could do.

That night, while everyone was asleep, Jack stole the treasure back and
hopped in the life boat to return the treasure to the mermaid.

The mermaid was so happy to see Jack and her returned treasure. "How will I ever
repay you?", she yelled. Jack explained that he returned the treasure because it was
the right thing to do, and not because he hoped to recieve a reward. " How nice of
you, however, I have the perfect reward for you."

She waved her magic wand over Jack and turned him into a mermaid
like her!

As for the other two, on their way home, a huge sea monster gobbled
them and their ship whole.
