Hi i'm Tommy and I am taking
a trip through the Digestive System

1:who move to close off the nasopharynx, preventing
food from entering the nasal cavity. without you, someone
would have nasal regurgitation.
2: it pushes the food to the back teeth so the teeth can grind it up, which is called mastication
3:Saliva you are watery and usually substance produced in the mouths for humans but you
came from the salivary glands

WOW! The mouth is my stage

THE TRANSFORMATIONafter After my performance in the mouth
is done in the mouth I transform
into bolus, which is rounded
mass of food preparation ready
to swallow, or such a mass
passing through the
gastrointestinal tract

THE WAY DOWN

As I walked down I saw
many things such as the pharynx
esophagus

this helps person swallows, the
sphincters relax automatically to
allow food or drink to pass
from the mouth into the stomach.

The pharynx permits
the passage of swallowed
solids and liquids into the
esophagus

After I took that long path I decided to go site seeingTommy

So I passed the liver

The Liver is the largest
gland in the body You can not live without this organ.

The Liver does many things.

gallbladderAfter I was finished taking a picture of the liver I drove
to the Gallbladder.

Hey, there it is.It is soooo small put it plays a really BIG
part in the digestive system.

bile,a bitter-tasting, dark green fluid
produced by the liver,is stored.I wouldn't I want to see this is a

THE STOMACH

I always thought the stomach
was really hugeThe stomach works as an important
organ of the digestive

The pancreas is one reason i am
like this. The pancreas is a gland
that produces several hormones
including insulin and pancreatic
juices. The juices contains digestive
enzymes that assist digestion and
absorbs nutrients in the small intest-
ine

small intestine notesTommy I am so excited to be in the small intestine. i always wanted to visit here because
it is part of the Gastrointestinal tract following the stomach by the Large intestine
I will pass through there soon but i won't stop, time doesn't allow.

Also the small intestine is where much of my journey takes place. This intestine is very unique
it is composed of a duodenum,jejunum, and an ileum. It receives bile and pancreatic juices.

The main function is to absorb nutrients and materials found inside of me.

I have always wondered what
would happen if I ever got stuck
inside of the cecum,knowing that
it is a pouch and all

who are you... how did I get here

First, it is considered the beginning of the large intestine
it is separated from the ileum and also from the colon but it
is connected to the appendix.

So if you really think about it you can not get stuck, you would
just keep moving.
