Ian is trapped in a ventilation system, trying to escape from aliens. He discovers a security room with a map of the vents and realizes there are traps. He meets another human named Adam and they search for Chelsea. Adam betrays Ian, who falls through a trap door. Ian wakes up in darkness and encounters a talking blob who reveals they are shapeshifting aliens visiting Earth. The blob is searching for their human child with a mark on the back of their neck.
