In September 2023 there were three very nice nursing homes, one in Turkey, one in Belgium and one in Spain, but the elderly who lived in them were a bit lonely and did not receive many visitors.

Fortunately, that situation changed for them, when some very hard-working teachers from those countries decided to visit the nursing homes with their students to meet the elderly and do fun activities together. Then, they created an eTwinning project and the lives of the teachers, children and the elderly changed forever...

  First visit

In October, the children, ages 6 to 8, along with their teachers, visited the nursing home for the first time to meet their new friends. Quickly there was a very good connection between children and the elderly. It was love at first sight between the two generations.

Second visit.

During the second in November visit to the nursing home, various activities were carried out, such as bingo with numbers, objects and songs. It was very fun and the friendship between the children and the elderly was growing..

Third visit.

On the third visit in December, the children and their teachers gave a small Christmas carol concert to the elderly and everyone exchanged handmade Christmas cards. It was a very emotional celebration.
