Author's Note
The main character, Bianca, is inspired by a good friend of mine, who gave me the nickname "bunny".

Bianca the Bunny starts her first day of school today. She is a little bit nervous, but is hopeful it will be good.
Her mom tells her she will do great and school will be lots of fun.
Bianca smiles. She doesn't want to be late for her first day.
She starts out the door, saying goodbye to her mom, as she makes her way to school.
On her way to school, Bianca meets someone new
The alpaca was quiet and looked friendly too
Bianca said, "Hello! What's your name?"
"I am Alison and I have autism." said the alpaca.
"What is Autism?" asked Bianca
"I struggle to make eye contact", said Alison.
"It can also make me feel overwhelmed easily and I don't like loud sounds."
"Thank you for teaching me and it's nice to meet you!" said Bianca. "I'll see you at school!" as she hopped away.
As Bianca continued on, she runs into another new friend.
Bianca said, "Hello! What's your name?"
"I am Celeste", said the cat. "I am walking to school. I may be slow though. My legs are weak."
"Why is that?" asked Bianca.
"I have Cerebral Palsy", said Celeste. "I struggle to move my legs are my muscles don't work like they should."
"Thank you for teaching me and it's nice to meet you!" said Bianca. "I'll see you at school!" as she hopped away.
Still on her way, Bianca runs into a dog.
"Hello!" said Bianca.
After a minute, the dog responds, "Hi! I'm sorry if it looked like I did not understand you. I am Dakota and I am deaf."
"What does that mean?" asked Bianca
"It means I struggle to hear you. Some deaf people cannot hear at all. I understand other people using sign language. My interpreter here translates for me." Dakota said
"Thank you for teaching me and it's nice to meet you!" said Bianca. "I'll see you at school!" as she hopped away.
Along the way, she noticed an otter that seemed to be sorting out sticks and stones on the ground.
"Hello! What's your name?" asked Bianca
"My name is Ollie." said the otter.
Bianca looked down at what Ollie was doing. "Would you like any help with sorting those?" she asked.
"Oh, no thank you", said Ollie. " I need them to be a certain way and that's something I cannot help. I have OCD."
"What's OCD?" Bianca asked.
"It causes me to be obsessed with certain things and I also have to have things a certain way." explained Ollie.
"Thank you for teaching me and it's nice to meet you!" said Bianca. "I'll see you at school!" as she hopped away.
Moving forward, Bianca bumps into a lion.
"Hello! Who are you?" asked Bianca
"I am Leo", the lion said after a moment. "Sorry it took me a minute to respond. I didn't fully process that someone was talking to me."
Bianca smiled. "That's okay!"
"I have a learning disability and it makes it to where I cannot process the world around me as fast." explained Leo.
"Oh, I see!" Bianca said as she began to understand.
"Thank you for teaching me and it's nice to meet you!" she said. "I'll see you at school!" as she hopped away.
