Once upon a time, in a cozy and warm home, lived a wonderful, kind, and sweet blue French Bulldog named, Bear... 

but this is not where his story starts or ends. For that, you must wait and see as you turn the pages.

In a winter long ago, he was born in a faraway land.  He had many brothers, sisters, and cousins.  He also had the love of a fur-mommy and fur-daddy.  He was beautiful and soft and had the most beautiful coat of fur anyone had ever seen.

For everyone near and those who from afar, Bear was considered the loveliest little puppy ever born.

He was known throughout the world already, and he was still just a puppy.  His fur-mommy and fur-daddy knew it was time for Bear to do just that!  To spread his kindness and love to a new faraway land.  

Right near where you live now, another wonderful family wanted to adopt the little puppy known as Bear.

The family asked if Bear would like to have a fur-ever home and live with them where he would be loved and cared for like all little puppies should be.  Puppies are born to spread love and Bear had super powers when it came to love.

When he arrived at this new and unknown home later that winter, he was wide-eyed and a little anxious to what this new world and family would be like.  He left his family in that faraway land, and this was a whole new adventure for a little puppy, but knew that this was a puppy’s purpose.  To bring joy and love to families all over the world.

The family, a Mommy and Daddy and their little girl fell in love with Bear the second they saw him. Bear's fur was as blue as the sky. His eyes were soft and warming and his heart was ready to give and receive love from his new home.

He loved his new home.  They were thrilled to have him and he was a new member of the family.  Every morning, he greeted his family with a cute little grunts, piggy-like oinking sounds, and he was always ready and wanting to make them smile.

Bear would spend the days and nights playing with his new family, sitting on his Mommy’s lap watching TV, and hanging out with Daddy while he worked on his computer.  Always there and always present, Bear sent a warmth and calming feeling to those around him.  Especially his Mommy who cherished those moments with him where she could feel his heart beat next to hers.

After two winters in his new home, Bear had a tiny accident where he hurt his back.  Accidents happen, and no one can prevent them. They went to the vet and found he was born with a special back and neck that prevented him from bouncing around like other puppies could, but that never stopped him from spreading love and joy for his family and friends.  It wasn't anyone's fault, just a tiny accident...

but Bear, being the brave and loving friend he was, took it in stride.  Even though Bear was a special pup born with a unique challenge, it didn't stop him from filling each day with happiness for those around him.

Bear looked back and remembered his thoughts when he was a puppy in that faraway land.  

He always knew his time on Earth with a loving family might be short and that his purpose was to spread joy and love as much as he could.  He sensed something from the beginning – that he would only be a tiny chapter in his family’s longer book of life, so he knew he had to do the most with it.

Even though he would see that other dogs and their families could play and run outside, it didn’t bother Bear.  He had his family and friends and they loved him just as he was - special and loved.  

He knew he didn’t always have to play hard and do things that everyone else is doing to be happy and to spread joy.  So, he was always on the ready to make people laugh, help them enjoy life and to be a role model where people are kind to each other.

His favorite game was fetching the dryer balls, but oh so gently.  He would chase the warm, “just out of the dryer” ball with determination and a twinkle in his eye.  Bear and his family knew they mustn’t make his back and neck have any more boo boos.

Sometimes, if he played too hard, he would have to rest for days and miss out on hugs, lap sittings and pets from his Mommy and those good-feeling hard scratches from his Daddy.

As Bear grew, his family cherished every cuddle and little oink and grunt he was famous for.  

This little puppy meant everything to them. They knew that life with Bear was a gift, and they embraced the joy he brought into their lives every day.  

His Mommy would even bring him downstairs to hang out while she rode her exercise bike.  He loved the music and would just lay on his bed, content while watching her.  Well, really sleeping, but that's ok...

The boo boo Bear was born with never defined him. Even though the boo boo got worse over time, he defined himself through kindness, caring, and an unbreakable spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him.  

When he was older, he especially loved going to his sister’s soccer games where all her teammates flooded him with love and couldn’t wait to see him the next time.

He was even the mascot of many of her teams.
