La Llorona aka the crying woman...

It had all begun in a small town a long time ago. In that town lived a girl by the name of Maria she was so gorgeous, that the townspeople said she was the most beautiful girl in the whole world. Due to all of the praise, she had felt as if she deserved everything, she felt like she was better than all the other townspeople. Even though she came from a hard working family and a nice home she was still never satisfied. She felt that a girl of her beauty required much more than what her small town had to offer. She believed that no man in her town was worthy of her love. She would tell her grandma that when she married, it would be an extremely handsome man worthy of her love.

 had warned Maria of the risks of being so shallow, and that if she were to marry a man it should be due to his good character on not his outward appearance. Despite her attempts, Maria continued to brush off her advice and tell herself that her Grandma was simply being old fashioned and didn't understand what true love is. One day that man of her dreams had come to town, and Maria's life took a sharp turn.
