           Have you ever been alone in the sea and couldn’t find your family? Well, this is what happened to me.

           My friends and I were going to the beach. When I was still playing, my friends at the shore said, “It’s already 4 o’clock, we need to go back to eat! ”

           “ Okay, I’m hungry too.” Other friends replied.

Everyone is looking for me, but I am diving in the water. They went to ask the lifeguards, but he was going home too. They said, “It was the last way, I will call for her. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my phone underwater!!!”

              My friends had already returned to the hotel because they couldn’t find me and were very hungry after the swimming.

Where is Salish!!!

            I dived deeper because I had a oxygen bottle. I saw a beautiful fish that was looking at me, it looked like the fish wanted me to follow him. I followed him for a few minutes, and the fish stopped.

         I looked around and I saw a very bright light. I started swimming toward the light. In the ocean, it looked like a star. I found a different world. I thought it was the underground Watercity, but everyone was a mermaid.

Wow!!! What is that?

            A mermaid swimming happily said, “My name is Zoey. This is the mermaid kingdom. Everyone here is a mermaid, but we can also walk on the land.”

           “Hello, I am Salish.” I replied.

           “Do you want to get a tour of the mermaid world?” Zoey said.

           “Of course!” I said.

           Zoey took me inside a big door.

           The mermaid kingdom was magnificent. “I had never seen such a beautiful place!” I thought. The mermaids’ clothes were made of seaweed. There were also coral slides, and their room was made of bubbles. She took me into a large bubble room.

           Inside the room, four girls were playing hide and seek. “Everybody! This is Salish.” Zoey said. The four girls raced to my side. They asked, “Where are you from?” “I’m from the land.” I said. The four girls were scared. They ran out of the room. “Why are they scared?” I asked. “Everyone in the mermaid kingdom is scared of humans because there is a mermaid called Arissa. She was a human before, she transformed into a mermaid. When she was little, no one wanted to play with her, she was very lonely, so she became an evil mermaid. This is why they are all scared of humans,” Zoey said. “But why aren’t you scared?” I asked. “Because I was Arissa's friend before, the only friend.” Zoey answered.

A mermaid returned and told everyone that one of Zoey’s friends had been captured by Arissa. Zoey told me that the last time one teenage boy got captured, he never returned. Not long ago a mermaid walked along the path beside Arissa’s house. The mermaid saw the lost teenage boy; there were many magic potions and a sticker on one of the magic potions that had written “POISON”. Then Arissa poured it into a big bowl and let the boy drink it. And the next second, the boy was gone. Zoey said that this is why everyone was afraid of her. All the mermaids in the mermaid kingdom want to save her, but all of them are scared. They were all thinking of ways to get her out of Arissa’s house, but not letting Arissa know. I was scared too, but I still decided to save her.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

One day, I went to Arissa’s house. I knocked on her door. I was so nervous that I couldn’t even open my eyes to see her. Then I saw a girl with a high ponytail walking out.  She had a black mermaid tail and her hair color was light blue. She looks very evil. “She is Arissa,” Zoey whispered at my side. The next moment, Arissa asked me, “Who are you?” Arissa said. “I am Salish. I am a human. I know that you are unhappy because you are lonely. You want someone to play with you and I can play with you!” I said. “Really?” Arissa asked. “Yeah!” I replied. “Why do you want to kidnap others? I asked. “Because I want someone to play with me,” Arissa said. “I can play with you, but can you not kidnap others?” I asked. “ Yes,” Arissa replied.

When I took Zoey’s friend back, everyone was shocked and happy, especially Zoey. But when they saw Arissa, they were all scared. Everyone ran into their house and then locked the door. Arissa seemed a little bit sad. Then Zoey told everyone “Everyone, Arissa is very sorry for what happened before, she wanted to apologize. She isn’t evil, she just wants someone to play with her. Can you all be friends with her? Every mermaid started to open their door and walk out. One mermaid said, “We can be friends with her, but she can’t hurt and kidnap us ever again.” “Okay,” Arissa replied.
