This is Taylor. Taylor is 3 years old, and she is confused. Taylor was just uprooted from her old life and she doesn't know why. Taylor used to have a mommy, daddy, and older sister. Now Taylor only has a daddy and sister.

Taylor's dad moved her and her sister to a new house in a whole new area. Taylor went from going to her mommy's daycare to spending days at her grandparents' house.

Taylor didn't know how to process her new life. No one told Taylor what was going on. Taylor was confused.

8 years later...
Taylor is now in middle school. Taylor was so happy but she was still confused. Taylor had a normal life as far as she was concerned.

Taylors dad remarried, had two more kids, and she was happy. Taylor knew her mom was gone, but she was confused.

Taylor felt content in life, she was happy with her little life. Taylor was used to the life she had. Having 3 siblings, a dad, and a stepmom, Taylor was happy. But man, was Taylor confused.

Taylor had freckles, her daddy did not. Taylor had wavy hair, her daddy did not. Taylor was skinny, her daddy was not. Taylor was tall, her daddy was not. Why was Taylor the way she was?

Taylor was confused. Why did all her siblings look like her daddy, and she did not? Taylor asked questions about her mom, she got no answers.

“Everyone seemed so sad talking about mom” Taylor thought. Taylor remembers her mom being happy, so why is everyone so sad?

Taylor had so many questions.
Did mom have freckles?
Did mom have wavy hair?
Was my mommy skinny?
Was my mom tall?”

There was one person who Taylor could go to who had all the answers. Taylors older sister, Cate, was 6 years old when their mom left. Cate was so smart; she knew all there was to know about mom.
