TYPICAL CZECH CUISINE

Svíčková (= Beef sirloin in cream sauce) is a typical Czech dish usually served with dumplings, cranberries and a slice of lemon. The sauce is made from root vegetables, such as celery, parsley, onion and carrot, and and cream. The meat in the sauce is usually beef sirloin.

Saint Martin’s goose is a traditional dish served on November 11th in the celebration of Martin’s nameday. The goose is seasoned with cumin, salt and also with an apple that is inserted in it. It is served

with dumplings, cabbage and it is often replaced with duck.

PUDDING

Czech dish made from milk, semolina and a bit of sugar. Then you have to cook it until it boils and gets thicker. You pour melted butter on top and sprinkle it with chocolate.
