Hi I am Buttercup! I live in Brightsville
Once upon a time, in the beautiful city of Brightsville, there was a curious little girl named Buttercup. Buttercup had just moved to Brightsville from a faraway land called Sunlandia. As she explored her new home, Buttercup heard many new and strange words that the people around her used.

"It's raining cats and dogs

One cloudy afternoon, Buttercup went to the park to play with her new friends, Gumball and Minnie. As they played on the swings, Minnie yelled, "It's raining cats and dogs!" Buttercup looked up at the sky, but she saw no cats or dogs. "What does that mean?" she asked, tilting her head in confusion. Minnie chuckled and replied, "Look at the sky and try to guess!" Buttercup nodded and understood what she meant right away.

IDIOMS!
IDIOMS!
As they walked home together, Buttercup couldn't stop thinking about all the strange sentences she had heard. "Why do people say such funny things?" she wondered aloud. Minnie and Gumball laughed and explained that those funny sentences were called idioms. Idioms were special expressions that didn't always mean exactly what they said but had a hidden meaning that everyone understood.
