Today, we started our adventure at 5:00 am. I packed a bag, not knowing how long we would be gone this time. Putting extra clothes, a map, a flashlight, and extra snacks in just in case.

Off we went on a four-wheel drive adventure. I could feel the refreshing cool air; it smelt like it had been raining for days before coming to the rainforest. My family and I decided to explore the area. I took the map out, wanting to find where the enchanted waterfalls were.
Along the way, we encountered our first animal, it was a magnificent jaguar. I was so frightened that I felt like I wanted to run, but that would be really dangerous! Mom yelled to be still and not to move! I could see that she was scared as well.

We continued along the path and encountered other rainforest animals, such as sloths, lemurs, birds, and small insects. The one animal that stood out to me the most was a beetle eating a rotten berry. As I bent down to have a closer look, it smelt like rotten eggs and onion mixed together. Mom and Dad both laughed as I fell backward from the awful smell.

At this point, we had explored enough of the forest and were eager to find the enchanted waterfalls. Despite the unease that we were lost, we remained united. We were temporarily disoriented, but we were not lost. Dad reassured us, scanning the surroundings for the tree markings that would guide us to the falls. He assured us that we would find our way, and we would follow the path that led us to the falls.

As we were walking, all I could see around us were emergent trees. They are so tall I could not even see the sky. It was like a blanket covering us as we were walking.
As we were walking, Mom and Dad were reassuring me that we would find the waterfalls; all we had to do was stay on the path and listen around us. A few minutes later, I could hear something. It sounded like rushing water.

As I ran ahead of Mom and Dad, I wanted to be the first to see the enchanted waterfalls. But I stopped and waited; I wanted all of us to see it together since this was our adventure together. We stood in amazement as we saw all the waterfalls.
