This book was created by students Of 3rd and 6th grade of Primary school of Kato Scholari, Greece as part of the eTwinning project in tribute of etwinning Day/ Europe day.

Europe is a beautiful continent located in the northwestern hemisphere of our planet.

Europe was named after a princess of Phoenicia whom the god Zeus loved and stole disguised as a bull.

Europe, often called the "Old Continent", has been the centre of world civilisation and its impact on the rest of the world has been very significant. It is filled with many countries, cultures and stories

Europe has many beautiful monuments and attractions.

Europeans speak many languages, including English, French, German and Spanish. They also enjoy many different types of food, such as croissants, pizzas and tapas.

Every year, on 9 May, we celebrate peace, unity and cooperation in Europe, as well as the European principles and values that unite us in the European Union.

Today we celebrate diversity and mutual understanding in Europe through eTwinning. Let us continue to support cooperation and mutual understanding among children and teachers for a brighter and more united world.

The students of our school who worked on the project "Benefits of interacting with animals" wrote down what they liked most about their participation in the etwinning program.

“I liked the fact that I learned new foreign words” Orestis
