There was a boy named Larry who looked different than anyone else in his town.

Everyone was always mean to him, even when he was nice.

Larry had weird hair and it was a weird color. He wore clothes that nobody else in his town wore. 

His shoes were even every color of the rainbow!

His teacher never picked on him, even when he knew the answer. This made Larry very sad.

Not even the principal wanted to accept his kind offer of a freshly picked apple. This made him sad.

Larry tried to hang out with his brothers, but they thought that his drawings were too strange. They didn’t let him play paint with them.

Larry was so sad. He didn’t have any friends, and everyone thought he was too weird. He went upstairs to his room.

Larry started to cry. He wanted to change everything about himself. He didn’t like the way he was or how he acted. He was too weird. 

Larry went to his mom. He begged and begged her to let him change schools. She was so confused. She didn’t know why he was so upset.
