Pet Store

    The Pet Store was calm this afternoon as the day was winding down.

    The shop owner Joe was getting ready to leave and make sure all of the animals were put in their cages. 

    But, the Pets had a different idea.

    All animals large and small left their cages once Joe closed the store.

    "Let the fun begin!" Molly the toucan yelled.

     The night was full of talking with friends and moving to the music. 

    As the night was closing Bubbles the snake was ready to go back to her crate and rest. 

   Bubbles still loved talking with the other animals and seeing what was going on in the other cages because she didn't get to share a cage with anyone. 

    As the night was winding down Bubbles heard Molly ask, "Did you see Bubbles's scales? She looked plain and rough. But me on the other hand, I am much prettier to look at with my beautiful feathers."

   Bubbles was hurt by this and it made her feel upset. She didn't know why Molly would say such a thing. Bubbles thought that Molly was her friend. 

   And later the next day after Joe left again for the night, all animals large and small left their cages once more.

    Again the night was filled with music and talking. Bubbles was wondering what Molly would say about her tonight. 

    As Bubbles was listening in she heard Molly say, "I don't know why Bubbles is here. Nobody looks at her anyway. They are all looking at me!"

    The following night Joe left for a third time. All the animals large and small left their cages again. 

    "I am ten times more special than Bubbles. I come from farther away. More people like to watch me. Plus, I'm more colorful." Molly stated to her friends as Bubbles listened.

    Bubbles was upset at all that Molly had said and she wanted to talk to Molly about it.
