Alfred was very lucky as he got to spend the weekend with his Grandfather. His grandfather always had fun trips and special surprises planned, thats why Alfred loved visiting him!

This weekend was going to get really exciting because Grandpa had planned a hike at the nearest hiking spot. The hike would take them to the lake. While Grandpa was packing their backpacks. Alfred couldnt wait, and was super excited for the hike!

Grandpa had packed hiking sticks, binoculars, some snacks if they got hungry and water for the hike, he had also brought a map just incase they need to know which way they are going.

Now things were going too get exciting because now is the time to start the journey. Alfred shouted YAAAY LETS GO! 

Grandpa and Alfred have now entered the tracks of the path for the hike. The forest was really big and amazing, the smell of the flowers nearby made the walk even better. As they were walking Alfred saw a bush full of weird looking plants he asked Grandpa about them and how they looked. Grandpa had told Alfred not to touch those type of plants as they can be poisonous. A little later, Alfred heard tapping noises. "ta ta ta". He asked Grandpa, he said it was a woodpecker pecking the wood.

As they were walking along the path, Grandpa had noticed that there may be a problem. They have taken the wrong path. Grandpa had checked the maps and it seems, that the path that they're on is taking them to the East side of the path, instead of the lake. Everything around them looked the same including the forest and bushes. Suddenly Grandpa remembered that he had a compass in his pocket. " A Compass ?" Alfred asked grandpa " What is that ?" Grandpa said

" A Compass is a device that indicates and shows the direction you're going. Such as North, East, South or West."
