Me!

PROLOUGE
I woke up and looked outside, when I realised that today I was getting my glasses. Even after constantly begging her not to get me the glasses, my best puppy- dog eyes didn’t work and neither did my signature negotiating and I’m pretty sure even doing extra chores didn’t work. There’s ZERO convincing that lady! I have been dreading this day from the day I was born! How should I know, it would come sooooo soon! UGH! This is a nightmare! Ooh mom’s calling. Gotta go.

CHAPTER1
So, we reached the shop and now the horror will start. I pushed the door in dread, but when the door swung open, I stood there in awe. The shop wasn’t just for glasses, it had everything to make the most fantabulous DIY jewellery, and I mean everything! It had glitter, sequins, beads, charms, pendants, you name it!
Just then I saw someone with caramel brown locks with flickers of blond hair falling down her shoulders in gentle waves, smooth, pearly white skin stretched across her body and soft blue eyes searching for a pair of just the right glasses for them. She gracefully walked like she was floating on a cloud all the way up to me with a smile stretched across her face.

“What are you looking for?” she asked me. I told her and she smiled again. She took me to the glasses section and then asked me which one I would like. I chose a purple pair which I quite liked.

What are you looking for?
Glasses for myself.
I might have just the pair!
Turns out they were the cheapest and lightest. When I looked at who was behind the counter, guess what?! It was the one and only person who helped me out! She shot me a smile and took the glasses from me, but I noticed something, she didn’t check how much they were for. She took something out of her pocket and waved it in front of the glasses while muttering something under her breath. Then she called someone else who came and told us the price before giving me the glasses. She told me somethings on how to use the glasses and we left. Although I was still wondering what she had done. When I saw them, they looked different and they were sparklier.

Chapter 2
It was dark when we reached as there was a LOT of traffic that is after we stopped for lunch at my best friend, Sophie’s house and I played there. We came home for dinner – spaghetti {yum}. But when it was time for bed and I stayed up to read I had to wear my glasses. All this time I could do without them but now I had to wear them.

I felt a sharp tug on my hair and by defence my hand flew to my hair and closed on something. “OW!” yelped a voice from my hand. Screaming I opened my hand and out came some kind of fairy! “That was my wing !” cried the winged creature. I bent down to peer at it and when I did it’s wing really was bent. “Why did you do that?!” she asked accusingly. I felt anger bubble up inside me like a volcano about to erupt. “You were pulling my hair!” I spouted. Just saying it erupted. But it really hurt me, so I think I had the right to be mad. Just then the fairy looked like she just remembered something. {Guess what she did}. Anyway she looked up and frowned. “Wait. You aren’t supposed to be able to see me. How can you see me! Has my camouflage dust worn off?! Oh no no no!” she said sounding panicked.

Just then I realized I had no idea what I was talking to. “Why did you pull my hair?” I asked, she stared at me with her large eyes. “well,” she said “if you really want to know, I’m a type of sprite called a knit – knotter my job is to tie knots in children’s hair. Every time we tie a knot, we get one of these bows on our wings, first one to get 1,00,000 bows wins a prize from the fairy queen, the hairy fairy. Also, my name is Amy.” I looked at her in awe. She was the one tying knots in my hair which was the reason I was going to have a haircut tomorrow at the salon. Then I had an idea. “Do you have to tie knots in children’s hair only?’ Cause I have a lot of dolls. Can’t you tie knots in their hair?”. The knit-knotter looked thoughtful “Hmm. It is possible, but you have to give me something in return. Something we would all love.” she said. I frowned. What would a tiny sprite possibly love? Then I remembered the store I went to for my glasses. It had everything to make the most perfect DIY jewellery! I could make them jewellery! Then the words Amy said hit me straight in the chest. “We?” I asked. It was more than one knit-knotter! And I don’t have enough beads or jewels for more than one!
