This is Penny the metal pencil, he is made out of steel including his sub 

components like his eraser, his led and his frame. Penny is a physical 

system because Penny isn't a living thing. Also Penny is a physical 

system because you don't have to feed it and you don't need to wash it or 

take it for a walk. Penny’s owner is Jimmy, Jimmy is five years old and he 

lives in a small town called Woodinville. Woodinville is made out of wood 

except the people living in it so houses,cars,sidewalks,parks were all mad out of 

wood.. 

Jimmy was walking in a forest and he saw something, Jimmy picked it up 

and he found a metal pencil. Jimmy said ‘’Wow this pencil is so cool, I’m 

going to show my friends and they are going to think I’m so cool’’ said 

Jimmy with a excited tone of voice.’’I’m going to call you Penny the 

pencil’’ said Jimmy. Jimmy picked up Penny and felt his mooth pencil 

frame.

The next day when Jimmy went to school everyone thought his 

pencil was not cool which made Jimmy really upset. While Jimmy 

was walking home he kept on thinking about his friends and what 

they said about his pencil. Jimmy stopped walking and opened his bag 

and took out Penny and he said ‘’everyone in my class thought you 

were uncool so now I think your uncool said Jimmy with a mad tone of 

voice. Jimmy decided to throw Penny on the ground and walk home. 

Jimmy was really angry   

Couple hours later a man picked up Penny and took 

Penny to his house. The man put Penny on his desk 

and stared at it.’’The object is so cool and amazing 

I’m going to sell you to someone maybe I will make a 

lot of money’’ said the man. The man walked out of his 

house but stopped as some kids were lighting 

fireworks and a firework hit the house. Penny was in 

the house as the house caught on fire. The burning 

wood made the whole town smell.

Jimmy was on his bed thinking about Penny and he 

actually really liked Penny but he threw Penny on the 

ground because he wanted his friends to think he was 

cool.’’ I don’t care what care what my friends think of 

Penny. I’m going to get my favorite pencil back’’ said 

Jimmy with a motivated tone of voice, Jimmy hopped 

out of his window and went to go get Penny.

Jimmy found the place where he left Penny but Penny 

wasn't there. ‘’Oh no! I left Penny here were can he be?’’ said 

Jimmy with a surprised tone of voice. Jimmy was about to leave 

but he smelt something really bad that made his stomach hurt a 

lot.” What it that smell? It smells like rotten eggs!” said Jimmy. 

Jimmy followed the bad smell and he saw the house on fire.’’Penny 

has to be in there!’’ said Jimmy, he covered his mouth and his nose and 

entered the house through a window.

Jimmy went upstairs and he found Penny but the only 

problem was he was stuck. Jimmy breathed in the 

smoke and Jimmy started to cough really loud and his 

said’’ My throat hurts so much it feels like swallowing 

razors’’ said Jimmy with a loud tone of voice. 

Jimmy and Penny were still stuck in the 

house and they had no way out so they 

just waited. Jimmy was so scared.

The house started to fall down but 

thankfully the fire department broke 

through the wall and took Jimmy and 

Penny.
