10/14/24

What is Conflict?
Conflict is a disagreement between individuals or groups of people occurring from a situation in which these individuals or groups of people disagree on values, expectations, interests, principles or opinions

The best things in dog-life are staying true to my people, and I love to play fetch! The best food is made by the local factory, and I expect you will think the same!

I disagree, I have opposite thoughts on that!
Other causes of conflict may include:
Conflicting resources.
Conflicting styles.
Conflicting perceptions.
Conflicting goals.
Conflicting pressures.
Conflicting roles.
Different personal values.
Unpredictable policies.

Conflicting resources: When more than one person or group needs access to a resource conflict can occur. Conflicting styles: Everyone works differently benefiting their preferences, like some people like to work in quiet while others like to work in busy or even loud environments. When these styles clash it may cause conflict. Conflicting perceptions: All of us see the world in our own way, and differences in perceptions of events can cause conflict. Particularly where one person knows something that another person doesn't know, but doesn't realize this and often when told what they know they do not want to accept this. Conflicting goals: One person might have a goal of having quality items while another person might think that service is a more important goal in a business. Conflicting pressures: Conflicting pressures may be having to complete two or more tasks at once on short notice. Conflicting roles: when you have to complete a task outside of what you normally do or doing someones job may cause conflict between those people. Different personal values: When something important goes against your personal values, say that you have to research a topic to pass a class, but this topic you must research goes against your beliefs. Or say you were told you would lose your job for not voting for a person, but voting for this person goes against what you believe. Unpredictable policies: When a rule/policy changes and this new rule/policy goes against what you believe it may cause some conflict.
