Domestic bunny species, like Angora or New Zealand White, are subject to the abuses of cosmetics testing, the pet trade and the fur industry.
Mediterranean Monk Seal It is estimated that around 120 adult monk seals exist along Turkish coasts The species is considered Endangered (EN) in global scale and Critically Endangered (CR) in the Mediterranean basin by IUCN since 2015.
Thermis Ibis (Kelaynak) Bird They used to live in Europe since 1504.In the beginning of 1950, there had been a specific decrease in the number of birds.In order to prevent the decrease in number and disappearing of the generation, Thermit Ibis Procreation Station was established in Birecik -Türkiye by the Generate Directorate of Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs in 1972.
Caretta Caretta (Sea Turtle)They also known as loggerhead sea turtles, are an endangered species of oceanic turtle. The southern beaches of Türkiye are a known nesting area for the species which lays its eggs on beaches on the west Mediterranean coast of the country.
Angora Goat This natural breed is believed to have originated with the Tartars in the Ankara region of central Turkey centuries ago. Once feared to be extinct, the Turkish Angora is making a welcomed comeback.
Van Cat, The Turkish Van originates from Lake Van in Türkiye and they are notable for their love of water and with different colours of eyes.

Gölbaşı Flower of Love (Centaurea Tchihatcheffii) is an endemic endangered species. The specific name of the plant comes from the centaur, a mythological creature in the shape of a horse with a human head, the existence of which was proposed by Hippocrates.
Angora Crocus known as the herald of spring, is another endemic plant which grows in Ankara and its environs. The Ankara Crocus is distinguished from other species with its yellow color emerges in February- April as the snow melts down.
