Preface
It is believed that most children tend to follow their parents characteristics and preferences when it comes to race. It is believed that children may not understand the consequences when trying to feel included in different social-classes, not knowing that it is okay to not be amongst the superior group. This episode of Spongebob Squarepants particularly targets the idea of "the grass isn't always greener on the other side". It displays longing for similarities amongst others can be detrimental to a person, mainly because it may seem like it looks and feels good, but in all reality there is a chance that it isn't. The reason I feel expressing these concerns through storytelling at a young age is because their minds are growing and developing them into the people they will forever come to be. It is important that characters in storybooks are diverse and different to their eyes. Not only the way they view themselves, but other children and people who surround them. Through storytelling, children can better decipher decision-making and helps create a sense of self-identity.

Squidward is starting to get annoyed with Spongebob and Patrick....
Squidward, let's play!
Yeah, come on Squidward...

Squidward thinks that they are annoying because they don't have the same background.
I'm moving somewhere far from here! where the people are just like me!

Squidward grabs his things and heads for Squidville, where there are only Squids.

Ahhh, fresh Squid air, I love it here!
Squidward is excited for his fresh start with the squids who look exactly like him!

Squidward soon begins to enjoy his time in Squidville. Squidville is a high-class neighborhood, filled with high-class squids rather than a working-class neighborhood with Spongebob and Partick, who are not squids.

He enjoys spending time with other squids like him, doing things like dancing, playing the clarinet, bike riding. But also, doing the same thing every, single, day...
