Nate, a young boy who was getting ready for a night of school was laying in his bed. His Dad was turn on dim lights around Nate's room because Nate was scared of the dark. Nate watch his Dad, asking a question he was curious about. 

Nate - "Dad, why am I scared of the dark? I don't want to be scared of not seeing anything." 

Dad - "It's a simple fear. Almost everyone has had the fear of being in the dark. You'll over come it sooner or later."

Nate - "Why is the darkness something we fear?"

Dad - "It's a simple fear you'll overcome in the future, just focus on getting some rest, Nate. You need it."

Nate wondered the same question he asked his Dad as he got comfortable in his bed and fell asleep soon after.

Nate is now asleep, falling into his own sea of imagination. He dreamed about a lot, dreaming of race cars, having the biggest birthday party in the world and hanging out with his friends playing with brand new things.

Nate's dream turned into a nightmare very quickly! He soon dreamed he was in the dark and a monster formed from the darkness and roared at Nate! Nate woke up from his nightmare and started crying.

At the sound of Nate's crying, his father entered the room. Checking on his crying son.

Dad - "What's wrong, Nate? Why are you crying?"

Nate, who was covering his eyes, revealed them.

Nate - "I had a n- nightmare... There was a scary monster in my dream... I felt so scared I didn't know what to do."

Dad - "It's okay, Nate, like I said, it's fear. You can use your courage to overcome it, you like superhero's don't you?" Nate's father asked, looking down at his crying son.

Nate - "Yeah, I- I do like superhero's, but I'll never be as brave as them. I'm not brave..."

Dad - "You don't have to be a superhero to be brave, Nate. You can use anything you find positive in the bad light and use that to push through and push away that bad dream."
