The Garden of Eden was home to many of
the most beautiful creatures that ever graced the
land. Eden also carried the burden of having some
of the ugliest, most evil inhabitants. Eden was an
overall enchanting place. It was a place that the
bears and hares could coexist as one. The trees
stood tall and proud, the grass was a perfect shade
of green, and the air was breathtaking. The fresh
scent of lily of the valleys and peace filled Eden. It
was autumn in the garden, which meant spirits
were high because the harvest had just been
gathered. Eden’s annual celebrations were soon to
take place-this was an opportunity for everyone to
come together as one. This indeed was the best
time of all for the people of Eden.

Among the beautiful, were two chipmunks Ashley and Taylor.
They were not only beautiful, but princesses as well. The
chipmunks-considered unselfish and peaceful, were appointed
to rule over Eden. Ashley was younger and naive, she wanted
to be friends with everyone and more than anything to be
accepted by others. Taylor was the older, more experienced of
the duo. She was definitely outspoken and didn't’t care much
for the approval of anyone. Taylor was protective of Ashley
and rarely would let anyone get close to her younger sister. At
times, Ashley felt that she was too overprotective and she
misunderstood. Being princesses came with responsibility-
everyone was watching them and many even envied them.
Brittany was one of those who viewed the girls with envy-she
was of the snakes. She slithered around deceiving and
manipulating anyone she could. Not many knew of Brittany’s
true nature until it was too late.

On the day of Eden’s celebration, Taylor found herself
on guard. Both friends and foes from near and far
would be attending. Lions in sheep clothing. Brittany
approached the girls. “Princess Ashley, Princess Taylor.
I’m excited to be in your presence. I’ve come to make
amends on behalf of all snakes in hopes that we could
be friends. Sworn enemies, we mustn't be. Peace
between snakes and chipmunks is what must be. With
your deepest secrets and lives, you can trust me.”
Eager, Ashley responded, “Of course we of the Garden
of Eden must come together and become one. A
community is at its strongest when all members are
joined. I trust you with my deepest secrets and life
new friend. Amends have been made.

There is no need for hate.” Annoyed by the whole
conversation, Taylor spoke to Brittany, “You are of
your kind, I do not believe that I can trust you.”
Brittany thought of Taylor’s few words as harsh
and responded, “Princess Taylor, I would never
deceive you.” Taylor walked away and began
greeting other. “I’m sorry about my sister. She
isn’t the most forgiving at times” Ashley said to
Brittany. In a voice of hurt Brittany responded, “It
is not my actions that should be questioned. I’ve
done nothing to offend neither you or your sister.
I’m glad that you have agreed to be my friend.”

It was clear to Brittany that this was her opportunity
to get information that might be useful from Ashley.
Ashley was way more trusting and easily manipulated
than her sister.

While sitting by the pond, Ashley and Brittany
began exchanging secrets and telling stories of their
lives. Ashley was the one offering more stories and
secrets, even telling Brittany ones that weren’t
hers. She was just so excited to have someone else
to talk to besides Taylor.
