Once upon a time, in the middle of a beautiful forest, there was a large pond, where all the animals gathered to drink water and share. On a bank next to the water there was a nest, and there was a mother duck taking care of her eggs, excited because her expected ducklings were about to be born.
Mama duck: All my ducklings will be beautiful with white feathers like mine.

When the winter days came, on the shore of that frozen lake, in a makeshift shelter, Mama Duck had six chicks, all of them white as snow. However, when the last egg broke, something unexpected happened. From it hatched a duckling that looked nothing like its siblings. It was not snow white, but a dark gray color, with a slightly longer beak and clumsier legs. The mother duck looked at him with surprise.
At first, the gray duckling seemed shy, but as the days passed, his behavior began to stand out... for the worse. While his siblings played happily, he was always thinking up mischief.
Gray duckling (thinking): “Why should I be nice if they always look at me differently?
One day, while the ducklings were practicing swimming in the pond, the gray duckling took the opportunity to push one of his brothers into the icy water. The little white duckling squealed, but the gray duckling just laughed mischievously.
Gray duckling: Shout. Brother, You should learn to swim better if you want to survive the winter!”

His siblings began to shy away from him, fearful of his practical jokes. Once, the gray duckling even broke the straw shelter that Mama Duck had built to protect them from the cold. When his mom scolded him, he simply responded with indifference.
In time, the other animals in the forest also began to avoid the gray duckling. He had stolen food from a group of groundhogs
, frightened a couple of small rabbits, and even tried to bite the tail of a nearby village dog.

The gray duckling decided to leave his nest and set out on new adventures away from his boring life. He had heard about a lake in the west where the most beautiful swans were. The gray duckling, excited by the idea of finding this lake full of swans, prepared for his journey. With the first light of dawn, he left his nest behind and started walking west. Although the road was long and unknown, the duckling did not lose heart, for his heart was full of hope.

On his journey, he encountered many animals. A wise owl advised him to always follow the river so as not to get lost, and a friendly squirrel gave him some nuts for the journey. Each encounter made the duckling feel that the world was bigger and more exciting than he had imagined.
Arriving at the lake, he found the beautiful swans swimming peacefully. Their beauty and elegance filled him with envy.
Gray Duckling: “Why do they have everything and I have nothing?” he asked himself, with hatred growing in his heart. Determined to change that, he approached pretending to be kind.
-What a beautiful lake you have here! -I'd love to join you.

The swans, sympathetic, received him kindly. But the gray duckling soon began to sow discord among them. He told lies to one about the others, stole food when no one was looking, and fouled the water to blame the others.
Eventually, the swans began to fight among themselves, and the once peaceful lake became a place of chaos. The gray duckling, enjoying his play, perched on a rock in the center of the lake and said:
-Now I am the king of this place! No one will ever ignore me again!
All his actions only brought sadness to his life, he was full of anger that he had destroyed his family, he had the opportunity to have a new home with the swans but his pride got the better of him.
The gray duckling kept thinking and if I do things differently and if I ask for forgiveness, I am not as different as they are, I am unique and all this time I did'not see it.
