Water droplet Drippy was cheerful and curious. It lived in a big blue lake and loved adventures. One morning, the king of the lake, the Big Fish, called its over
The Big Fish said, “Drippy, there is an important mission for the safety of our lake.” “Research the states of matter and tell me about them.” Drippy excitedly agreed and began making plans.
Drippy wandered around the lake world. “Liquids flow and take the shape of their container,” it said. “Our lake’s life source is liquids!” It observed people and animals drinking water, and fish swimming in it. “Without liquids, neither people nor other creatures could live,” it thought.
Drippy then visited the solid ice chunks on the shore of the lake. “Solids are hard and have fixed shapes,” it said. The ice told its, “We protect the shores with our hardness.” Drippy thought, “Solids work like silent protectors for our lake.”
Finally, Drippy met the steam drifting over the lake. “Gases may be invisible, but they spread everywhere,” they said. The steam explained, “We fill the air.” Drippy realized that gases, though invisible, were indispensable.
Drippy understood how liquids, solids, and gases worked together for the lake. “Each state is very important!” it said. “Together, we keep our lake alive.” All its friends agreed and said they were ready for the mission.
Drippy told the Big Fish everything it had learned. “Without liquids, solids, and gases, our lake wouldn’t survive,” it said. The Big Fish proudly said, “Drippy, you did a fantastic job!”
Drippy asked the Big Fish what he wanted to do with this information. The Big Fish replied, “A harmful substance has started to mix into the lake. Drippy, we need your help to solve this problem.” Drippy thought, “I must act quickly,” and set off to gather its friends.
