To all the dreamers who look up at the stars and believe in their magic.

Aurora was raised in an observatory by her father, Gabriel, a scientist with a profound love for the cosmos. Gabriel had once lived on Earth, but in his early twenties, like many others of his generation, he had chosen to migrate to the Moon. This was a time when humanity was expanding its reach into space, with colonies being established on both the Moon and Mars. Aurora, however, had never been to Earth. Her only connection to it was through the stories her father told and the view from her window, where the planet hung like a jewel in the vast darkness, a mesmerizing blend of green and blue.
When Aurora turned fifteen, everything changed. One fateful day, the Moon colony came under attack, igniting a war that threw the settlement into chaos. Alarms blared, and people scrambled to save their lives. Amidst the confusion, Gabriel urged Aurora to take their starship and escape. “Go, Aurora! Save yourself!” he shouted, his voice trembling with urgency. Reluctantly, she obeyed, promising herself that she would find him again.
Then, something extraordinary happened. In the midst of the dark expanse, she noticed a single star blinking. Then another. And another. Soon, billions of stars filled the view around her, twinkling like a celestial orchestra. A gentle tune began to play, and then came a melody so beautiful and ethereal that it seemed to reach into Aurora’s soul:
Twinkling, little star,
Guiding light afar,
In dark sky, so deep,
Shining when you sleep.
Like gems, softly gleam,
In your endless dream,
The dark sky, so high,
Shine until we say goodbye.
