Project Descriptions

   The aim of our project is to encourage community bonding among school students. This can be achieved through combining volunteerism and learning to improve the school environment. Students will play a major role in improving their school's environment through various activities such as: planting trees, cleaning the school's garden, environment awareness campaign, and visiting the elderly home near the school, etc. This would help to improve social support and community work initiatives.

Introducing the participating countries

JORDAN : Jordan is a country located in Asia, ruled by the beloved King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, such as the Dead Sea and Wadi Rum, and its kind and hospitable people.

Tunisia:was once home to the ancient city of Carthage . Its diverse landscapes range from stunning Mediterranean beaches to the vast Sahara Desert. The capital, Tunis, boasts a blend of modern architecture and historic sites. Tunisia is also recognized for its vibrant culture, delicious cuisine.

Palestine : Palestine is located at the heart of the Arab world, serving as a bridge between Asia and Africa. It is distinguished by its geographical and cultural diversity, encompassing plains, mountains, deserts, and Mediterranean coasts. Palestine holds a special place in history and religion, as it is home to sacred cities like Jerusalem, a center for the three monotheistic religions. Despite challenges, the Palestinian people remain steadfast, preserving their identity and rich heritage.

Romania: Romania is a country located in Eastern Europe, known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and history. It has a population of about 19 million people, with Romanian being the official language.

Romania's welcoming people, beautiful nature, and strong community spirit make it a great choice for a volunteering eTwinning project.

The partners from Jordan, Tunisia, Palestine, and Romania express their great happiness in collaborating within the eTwinning project. This initiative has provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and cultures, fostering a spirit of cooperation among nations. The cultural diversity and intellectual richness shared by these countries contribute significantly to achieving the project's goals, strengthening friendships, and uniting efforts to create an innovative and inspiring working environment for all.

        Theoretical High School "Mircea Eliade" from Romania is a public educational institution that educates students on four learning levels: preschool, primary, middle school and high school level. 

       Lupeni is a former mining town in the Jiului Valley, a quite disadvantaged area from an economic point of view, without many prospects for the future. Most of the children in our area come from modest families or do not have the best living conditions, but they are very hardworking and when they have the opportunity they are eager to help the needy as much as they can by collecting money and goods for them. They also get involved in various campaigns to clean up the city and its surroundings, plant trees or help maintain mountain trails in the area, such as the ecological campaign ”Let's Do It, Romania!”

The participation of schools in the eTwinning project marks a significant milestone, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and the desire to build bridges of communication among the younger generations. Through this project, schools have the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences, explore new cultures, and enhance students' creativity and technological skills. This participation also fosters values of tolerance and teamwork, making it a unique educational experience that opens wide horizons for a bright and opportunity-filled future.

An activity linking volunteering to your country’s heritage

  The students brought some meals from the Tunisian heritage, shared them with each other and distributed them to the entire school students at the break, expressing their love, cooperation and mutual giving.
