An ACE occurs when you serve the ball and your opponent can't return it.
A cheer you can do for this is your team will yell "A-C-E ACE".


is for Block
A Block occurs when one or two players jump and deflect the attacked ball back onto the opponent's side.
A cheer you can do for this is the captain will yell "brick" and the team will yell "wall".


is for Court

You can either play on a hardwood or a sand court.

is for Dig

A dig occurs when a defensive player can return an attacked ball from the opposing team.

is for Error

In volleyball, an error occurs when a player or a teammate makes a mistake that results in the opposing team scoring a point.

is for Freeball


A Freeball is a ball passed over the net when an attack isn't possible.
You can do a chant for this if your team scores are "OH YEA".
is for Gameplan

A game plan is the coach's strategic approach to arranging the lineup in order to maximize the chances of winning the game.

is for Hitter


A hitter is a player who attempts to hit the ball offensively to score a point for their team.
is for In-Bounds


In-bounds in volleyball is when the ball is on the court or on the boundary line to score a point.
is for Joust


A joust is a play that occurs when two opposing players touch the ball simultaneously above the net.
is for Kill


A kill is a successful attack that results in your team gaining a point.
A chant you can do for this is the team will yell "CHIC CHIC BOOM".
is for Libero


A libero is a defensive specialist in indoor volleyball who plays in the back row and is responsible for keeping the ball in play.
is for Middle Blocker


The middle blocker is responsible for blocking shots from the opposing team and attacking the ball for their team.
When a middle blocker is
calling for a hit they will
yell, "one, one, one" or
"two, two, two" or "Slide".
is for Net


The Net separates the two teams in a game.
You cannot touch the net or you will lose your point.
is for Outside Hitter


An outside hitter plays in the front left side of the court and is responsible for attacking and passing.
When an outside hitter
is calling for a hit they
will call, "out, out, out"
or "four, four, four".
is for Pass


A pass is a way to control the ball to get it to one of your hitters so they can try to attack the ball.
When you pass the ball
you will say, "mine" so
that way no one takes
your ball.
