
Hello, today I will present the traditional dishes of the 7 continents. Why did I choose this topic? I chose it because I wanted to know what is the best dish in every continent. And especially I wanted to know about the dishes history, how and where it was created. I will show you the amount of calories that the food has.

2. Tradition reinforces values such as freedom, faith, integrity, a good education, personal responsibility, a strong work ethic and selflessness
Why is history important?

Cornbread - American dish with roots in Native American cuisine. Made from cornmeal, water or milk, and sometimes additional ingredients like eggs or sugar, Cornbread can be baked or fried and is often served alongside savory dishes like chili. In its earliest developments in the American colonies, cornbread was a simple combination of ground cornmeal and water that was then stirred together and baked over an open fire or in a hearth.
1. NORTH AMERICA

Cornbread is a relatively calorie-dense food with nearly 200 calories for a standard serving (25 grams).

2. EUROPE
Moussaka - eggplant or potato-based dish, often including ground meat, which is common in the Balkans and the Middle East, with many local and regional variations.It was the Arab Immigrants, which introduced moussaka to Greece and Turkey in outdoor dining areas. In the 1920s, Nikolaus TselementeS, a well-known Greek chef and recipe writer developed what is now the Greek version of moussaka.


Moussaka has nearly 820 calories for a standard serving (106 grams).
3. ASIA
Sushi - traditional Japanese dish made with vinegared rice , typically seasoned with sugar and salt, and combined with a variety of ingredients , such as seafood, vegetables, or meat: raw seafood is the most common, although some may be cooked. While sushi comes in numerous styles and presentation, the defining component is the vinegared rice, also known as shari , or sumeshi .The inventor of modern sushi is believed to be Hanaya Yohei around 1824, who invented nigiri-zushi, a type of sushi most known today, in which seafood is placed on hand-pressed vinegared rice. Sushi has nearly 165 calories for standart serving (21 grams).




4. OCEANIA
PAVLOVA - is taking the form of a cake-like circular block of baked meringue, pavlova has a crisp crust and soft, light inside. The confection is usually topped with fruit and whipped cream. Originating in either Australia or New Zealand in the early 20th century, it was named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Pavlova has nearly 167 calories for standart serving (22 grams).

New Zealand is ranked as one of the safest countrys in the world in case of a war.
5. AFRICA
FUFU - pounded meal found in West African cuisine. It is a Twi word that originates from the Akans in Ghana. The word has been expanded to include several variations of the pounded meal found in other African countries. Although the original ingredients for fufu are boiled cassava, plantains, and cocoyam, it is also made in different ways in other West African countries .Fufu has nearly 482 calories for standart serving (62 grams).


CEVICHE - dish consisting of fish or shellfish marinated in citrus and seasonings, and is recognized by UNESCO as an expression of Peruvian traditional cuisine and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Different versions of ceviche are part of the culinary culture of various Spanish-American countries along the Pacific Ocean where each one is native.Ceviche might have originated among the Moche, a coastal civilization that began to flourish in the area of current-day northern Peru nearly 2000 years ago. Ceviche has nearly 188 calories for standart serving (24 grams).
6. SOUTH AMERICA


POLAR PATE - polar explorers food made from meat, suet, vegetable fats and grains, is a good base for a polar diet.. When mixed with noodles or rice it makes a thick gravy, and can be a morning or evening staple. Polar pate has nearly 700 calories for standart serving (90 grams).
7. ANTARCTICA

Antarctica was discovered in 1820 and it does not have its own traditional food.
