Dear diary,
Christmas holidays are over and this makes me feel a bit sad. Today, I came back to school and I met my classmates and my teacher, we talked about our news, how our holidays passed, if we travelled somewhere, if we played, if we had fun etc. We all had a great and carefree time, without any stress, with our families and our beloved people. We ate, we played, we relaxed and in general we did things we love doing. You can call this happiness!!! Some of us were cycling all day long, someone else was at his friends’ house playing. We laughed a lot when we realized that everyone ran home to put the money we collected from carols into our piggy banks. Some of our classmates left the island for their holidays. One of our classmates went to Athens to visit her grandparents. She enjoyed strolling around the stores in the capital, she visited museums and watched theatrical plays. Another classmate visited Istanbul. He was amazed by the wonderful and huge buildings in the city, the tasty food and the impressive stores. Another classmate visited Thessaloniki and Trikala to meet his relatives. We all had a great time during Christmas holidays. How happy we were today to meet our classmates and share our experiences. You could see the enthusiasm and the eagerness in our eyes for the next holidays and the new experiences of course.

Dear diary,
Today was a big day at school! My classmates and I had a great time during the 2nd break. At first, the weather was sunny and we decided to play all together at the schoolyard. After we selected the game of ‘’hunting ball’’, our teacher, miss Jenny, came to play with us. It was so funny!!! Besides, I think it was the first time for our class that we enjoyed the game so much, without fighting and disagreements. I hope that this happens more often…

Dear diary,
Today our teacher told us that we are going to perform a play about school violence. We ourselves, the 4th grade, are going to perform this play. We are going to act, to sing and talk about school violence. We are all very happy because we are doing our own celebration and our families to attend. We are really excited as we got our roles. We can’ t wait to start our rehearsals!

Dear diary,
school is more than just a place where we learn but it is where we live a big part of our lives. From the moment we step into the school to the time we head back home, our day is filled with ups and downs, challenges, and joys. Sometimes it feels exciting, and sometimes it feels hard, but it is never boring. When we step into the classroom, we feel happy because we get to see our friends. Everyone is talking and laughing before the teacher comes in. The first two hours of the day is often when we feel most alert, ready to answer questions and eager to show the teacher we did our homework, if we remembered to do it... Then comes recess, which is the best part of the day! Everyone runs outside, where we eat our breakfast and play. The playground is noisy and full of energy. We all feel so happy! But sometimes, we argue over games, and that makes us feel a little nervous and sad. By mid-morning, the energy begins to shift. Subjects like math can make some of us feel frustrated, especially when we have to solve problems. Working in groups for a project can, also, bring out a range of emotions—from the joy of collaboration to the frustration of disagreements. But even through those conflicts, we learn important lessons about teamwork and understanding one another. At the end of the day, we usually have some free time. Free time is fun because we can choose what to do, like play games or draw. When the bell rings, we feel two things at the same time: happy and a little sad. We’re happy to go home and rest, but we’re also sad because we’ll miss our friends and all the fun we had. School makes us feel a lot of things—excited, nervous, proud, and even tired—but mostly, it makes us feel like we’re growing and learning every day. That’s why we love school, even when it’s hard.

Dear diary,
Last Friday I went to school really happy. I always feel happy on Fridays because it’s the last day of school before the weekend. School and homework finally finish! Weekend is near when I don’t have homework and I have more free time to play. But, during school something happened that didn´t feel good for me. We left the classroom to go out in the playground as it was time for a break and we were playing with my classmates. Suddenly, one classmate pushed me because he wanted to take the ball from me. He didn´t do it on purpose but still I was very angry because I lost the ball which was literally between my legs. I pushed him back and that was a big mistake. Immediately, our teacher made sure that we were both okay, she calmed us down, we explained how we felt and why and finally we apoloziged with the promise to play nice and more carefully.
