Jason and King were fighting the bear and
it's three cubs. Jason fought of the bigger
bear and another cub while King was trying to
fight away the two other cubs. There would
be no way King could survive. The two cubs
had King cornered.
A few minutes later Jason heard King
howling in pain. He had been slashed in the
leg. Jason got angry at the cubs for hurting
his friend. So he did the same thing to the
bigger bear killed it.

Jason dislodged Kings leg from under a
limb of a tree. Kings leg looked very bad. He
wasn't sure he was going to live. Kings eyes
turned gray. Jason thought he dies but he was
wrong.
Jason took the bear meat and left King
behind. On his way home Jason thought
about King and how he let him get hurt. He
felt so bad. When Jason got home he was in
for a surprise.

On Jason's way home he climbed the summit
next to Jason's cabin. The summit was as big
as a rocket. Jason got home and put the meat
outside for awhile. He went in the cabin to see
to Charlie.
Jason went into the cabin and saw Charlie
on the floor in pain. Jason rushed to his
supplies he got from Jack London. He got the
First Aid kit. Jason helped Charlie with his leg.

Jason helped Charlie up and gave him some
bear stew. Next he gave him a hand and put
him in a cot. Charlie dozed off. Jason heard
something outside. when he checked he was
surprised and happy at the same time.
It was king! King had made it from the bear
attack He hugged king and brought him inside
Jason cut a peace of cloth to stop kings wound
from bleeding.

After they ate about half of the bear meat
they headed out to Dawson City. Jason, King,
and Charlie toke the Yukon River to get there.
They went on foot. It was risky trying to go in
the summer with all the animals out but they
had to try.
They were on there way when Jason started
to not feel good. He wanted to know why and
how he wasn't feeling good. Was the meat
under cooked? Did he eat to much?

All of the sudden a gale came in from the north
blowing cold air . Jason thought about going on. They
were to cold, to sick, and to weak to go on.He was
worried he wasn't going to see his brothers in
Dawson. He had to keep going on it was his brothers
that hr needed to see.
He was half way down the Yukon and He was
feeling better. King was better, so was Charlie, and so
was Jason. They ran into a wolf . This might be there
death. Luckily Jason had his rifle and shot the wolf.

"More meat for us!" Jason said. They
started to cook the meat. Jason cooked it very
well so they wouldn't get sick when they ate it.
I wonder what's in Dawson." Charlie said.
"We made it to Dawson city!" Jason and
Charlie screamed. They were checking out the
town and Jason saw his brothers. Jason ran
with King and Charlie trying to keep up.

"Abe Ethan is it really you?"
"Ah who are you?" Abe said.
"It's me Jason your brother!"
"Oh Jason it's been so long since we've seen
you come in and drink some tea and we can
talk." Ethan said.
"We just sent out money to you because we
thought you were still in Seattle." Abe said.
"How did you get here?"Ethan asked.
"Lets just say it toke awhile slowly but surely I
got here."
"It was worth every second to finally see you,"

Jason then went to see Jamie Dunavent in
one of her plays at Dawson Theater. Man, was
it great! She hit every note on key perfectly.
His brothers went to one of her plays twice a
week.
Jason thought he could get used to living
like this. Seeing plays, nice restaurants, and
nice people all around the town. Jason's
brothers also offered him a job at the sawmill.
Jason obviously accepted the job offer.
