Armandy

Get back here Armandy stop bothering the lady

haha! So do I. Why don't we explore into the past
Arf?
Sorry miss she likes to explore

But how miss?
Well right through this door of course. Right back to good old 1743 when our third president was born

Thomas Jefferson, born April 13, 1743 at Shadwell plantation in Virginia, to father Peter Jefferson and mother Jane Randolph. Jefferson was very smart and spent a lot of his time studying and reading till he couldn't anymore. He went to the college of William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia. He married Martha Wayles Skelton. And they had six children.

Hello!
He became involved with politics and was Vice president to John Adams who he despised. He then later became the 3rd president of the United States. During his presidency he faced a lot of problems and had to make tough decisions. One decision that shaped the future for the U.S. Was the Louisiana purchase

Can I have the port of New Orleans?

You know what. Sure I need the money. I'll sell you the port and the Louisiana territory for 15 million dollars.

So?
Alright! you've got a deal
A lot of people didn't think the purchases was constitutional because it did not say that the government could expand and buy new land. So congress got involved and 30 documents later Jefferson bought the Louisiana territory.

Well that was a close one huh!
Jefferson did not know what or who was in the Louisiana territory. So, he sent his aid and friend Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the region. He gave them 3 goals.

Expand customs to the natives, document plant and animal life and to explore the Northwest passage.
So, Lewis and Clark set out West. On the corps of Discovery with 40 men and one slave (York).

This will be a great journey.

Clark Lewis
Indeed
While Lewis and Clark were in present day Montana. Lewis and a small hunting group came face to face with a grizzly bear. Compared to them the bear was as big as a mountain. They tried shooting it multiple times but the bear wasn't having it. The bear continued to attack them until finally collapsing.

oh shoot!

Get back

After narrowly escaping the bear they continued their journey. They navigated down the Columbia River to try and reach the Pacific ocean, where they would set up fort Clatsop. But they had come up on some mountains that would be too hard to climb and navigate without horses.

I don't know Lewis these mountains look like they could be too hard to climb. And we don't have enough supplies.
