Young Billy stared into the snow and
wondered why he did it. Why did he run away
from his family. Just for one Christmas toy?
Billy also pondered for where he was, in this
deserted snowy plane. As he trudged in his
snow gear on christmas eve, he recalled the
events that lead him to here.

Twas the day before Christmas eve, Billy woke
up cheerfully. He had been waiting to see if his
parents had gotten him the fly-plane 100. Billy
asked his parents, "I am so HAPPY that you
got me the fly-plane 100!". He saw the
disappointed look on his dad's face and asked
what's wrong? His father answered, "Work has
been really tough this year, and your mother
and I cannot afford your gift this Christmas.
I'm sorry, son."

Billy didn't answer. He
ran to his room filled
with anger and got his
gloves, snowpants,
jacket, and hat with his
lucky charm, his
necklace. He headed
out the front door
screaming, "I HATE
YOU MOM AND DAD!
I'm leaving!

Billy ran and didn't look back when his parents
called him back. Tears welled up his eyes but
he kept on running. Finally, after 10 minutes,
Billy tripped and fell into the snow. He then
bawled his eyes out.
Billy vowed to keep on moving.
He hopped on the bus and
fell asleep.

When Billy woke up, he found himself still on
the bus in an unknown city. He hopped off the
bus and asked a stranger where he was. The
stranger said, "Little guy, you're in Waterburg,
Michigan. It was Christmas Eve, and he was in
Waterburg! Billy regretted leaving. He wanted
to be with his family. He found a map and
located where his family was. He looked to get
on the bus, but it was gone for Christmas.
"Calm down, Billy" he told himself. "You're
getting back home".

When Billy was thinking, he
saw a dog with no collar. It
started to walk towards Billy.
It was the cutest dog in the
world! Billy petted its matted
skin and said, "I'm sorry, but
I have to get home". Billy
started to walk away, but
the dog followed him. "Fine,
you're going to come with
me." The dog barked in
excitement. And then, they
started home.
