I am dedicating this book to my mother who has supported me through all my decisions
in life, regardless of what they are.

You missed your ride, do the chores
It all began at a high school in Los Angeles, California. Ella is the
star of this story. You may be wondering where Ella's mother and
father are, well, Ella's mother died years after she was born.
Ella's father is always away on business dealing with his
company. Ella lives with her two step sisters, Mary and Tina, and
her step mother Michelle too. Ella's step mother always gives her
girls what they want when they want it, regardless of the cost,
she even bought them a car for them to share.
Ella and the girls got ready for school. As Ella walked out the
door, Mary and Tina drove away in their car, leaving Ella in the
dust.
Ella's step mother was furious with Ella for missing her ride again.
"Since you missed your ride, AGAIN, do the chores." She said
walking out the door, only to return later on in the evening.
Ella dropped her bag and headed out the door on her motorcycle
to the garage that she sometimes would work at.

Hey Eddie. Need a hand?
Ella stopped her bike and parked it next to the garage that she
worked at part time. Clearly Eddie was working on a 2001 GMC
Sierra 4X4. The rocker panels and the bed of the truck needed
some rust repair and the interior needed a touch up. Ella grabbed
her gloves and some tools and started working.
Ella looked at Eddie and exclaimed, "Hey Eddie. Need a hand?"
After a few hours of working with Eddie, Ella returned home to do
the chores that her step mother had given to her, having just
enough time to sit on the couch before her Michelle walked through
the door.
Michelle was furious, who knows why. She came in and threw her
bag on the end table beside the couch and her keys next to it. She
chucked her jacket, trying to land it on the hook, missing as it fell
to the floor.
"How are you done all the chores and still have time to lounge
around?" Michelle hissed at Ella.
"I just did what you said. Can Stevi come over please?" Ella said
with the a kind smile on her face.

"Sure, whatever as long as you stay out of my way for the rest of the night.
I don't want to hear you ask me for anything else." She stated with the
wave of her hand, motioning for Ella to leave her presence.
Ella ran up to her room and called Stevi right away. Stevi showed up at her
door half an hour after Ella called excited as ever. Ella motioned to be quiet
and for Stevi to head upstairs with her.
"Hey I can't wait for Prom. Who are you going with? I heard Jessie Turner
likes you and wants to take you." Stevi spoke, nudging Ella in the shoulder.
"I don't think I want to go to prom. I mean, it's not like I'd get bored or
anything, it's just I don't want to go with a guy and a dress and stuff. Too
old fashioned if you ask me." She shrugged her shoulders.
"Why don't we go together? As friends I mean. It's not like a date or
anything." Stevi shoved her shoulder into Ella's harder.
"That sounds like a great idea! As long as I don't have to wear a big poofy
dress, I'll be fine." Ella smiled.
"You should still wear a dress, it doesn't have to be poofy, you can design it
however you want." Stevi rested her head on Ella's shoulder.

Ella couldn't believe that Prom was today. One of the final days before graduation.
The last time she would see Stevi before she went off to college. Ella worked
extremely hard to earn the money to get the dress she wanted. It was beautiful.
Mary and Tina had gotten matching pink dresses with the matching masks. Mary
and Tina had already left with Michelle. Ella ran upstairs and got her dress on, doing
her make up and hair very simple placing the black butterfly mask over her eyes.
She grabbed her green converse and leather jacket and headed out the door
grabbing the keys to her motorcycle and headed off to the school.
Ella had til midnight to be with Stevi. She walked through the door and instantly saw
Stevi wearing a white dress and and blue converse and a white glittery mask. Ella
looked into Stevi's eyes and kissed her softly on the lips. The clock struck 12 and
Ella ran out the door. She hopped on her motorcycle and road home running to her
room and ripped the dress off, landing on the bed trying to dry the tears from her
face. She fell in love with Stevi. Her shot with Stevi was gone.
Stevi and Ella were graduating that day, after the graduation, Stevi stopped Ella and
spoke.
"Ella I'm in love with you."
"I'm in love with you too."
A few months had passed and Stevi and Ella were living together in college and
Ella's father was so proud of her, he divorced Michelle and never spoke to
her again. They all lived happily ever after. The End.
