Once upon a time, in a village called
Harumantra, there lived a little boy named
Raghav. Along with his dad he used to take
care of the sheep they owned. Together they
would take the sheep for grazing. Then his
dad would go alone to sell the wool in the city.
One sunny day his dad left Raghav to care for
the sheep, while he went to the city to sell the
wool...Raghav was nervous, he had never
gone alone up the hill. What if a wolf ate him,
or a sheep ran away? he wondered. After all,
he was just 11. His dad assured him that he
would be fine and told him to call out for help
if he was in danger.

Early next morning Raghav took the sheep for
grazing. He was bored as the sheep grazed.
He just sat there, thinking. He suddenly had a
brainwave! A pretty naughty one, though. He
decided to have a little fun with the villagers
by raising a false alarm. "Wolf! Wolf! Help,
wolf!"Oh what a hustle bustle in the little
village this created. Dr. Kulkandani, the self-
crowned village doctor twisted her patient's
arm by accident, grabbed her first aid box and
ran to help Raghav.

Inspector Mohan the proud policeman forgot
his newly-caught thief and ran to help the
young boy. Mrs. Meera, Raghav's mother, left
the pancakes burning on the stove and ran to
help her son. Mr. Kumar, Raghav's neighbor,
nearly broke a dozen eggs which he brought
from the shop and ran to help his young
neighbor. Shikar, Raghav's school friend, left
his pet parrot's cage open by mistake and ran
to help his pal. His parrot was happy though.
Naughty Raghav indeed!

Naughty Raghav!

The villagers ran breathlessly up the hill.
Reaching there they saw Raghav lazing under
a tree. They all wondered why was Raghav
laughing so loud? They could hear scarcely
between Raghav's splutters and giggles that he
had tricked them all! The villagers grumbled
and groaned as they returned to the village.
Raghav was hit by the villagers accusations.
His mother said "Reach back home, and I'll
teach you a lesson."

The next day, while Raghav was sitting beside
a tree...Suddenly, a wolf appeared! Lo and
behold! It was real! All the sheep huddled
together, letting out little small squeaks.
Raghav climbed up the tree quickly, and
shouted out in panic"Wolf, wolf, help me!!"The
villagers heard him, but thought he was joking
again, so they ignored his cries of help. He
kept on pleading for help horrified because the
wolf had killed one sheep.
