My name is Ali Hernandez Dolliver and this is my first children's book. This book targets emotion and hygiene within young 

children. I am a sophomore in highschool and want to become a grade school teacher when I grow up. I live in Placentia, California and hope to keep writing books to help kids all over.

Buck was a little boy with big, shiny teeth. His teeth were so big, he loved showing them to everyone!

But today was a little different.

Today, Buck was going to the dentist for the first time.

Buck was nervous. He had heard stories about the dentist. He thought the dentist might be a monster! What if the dentist had big  teeth just like him?

“I don’t want to go, Mom,” Buck said, holding onto his favorite teddy bear.

“Don’t worry, Buck. The dentist is nice. He’ll help keep your teeth healthy and strong,” Mom said, smiling.

They walked to the dentist’s office, and Buck saw a big door. On the other side, he imagined a huge, scary monster! Was the dentist going to be a monster with big teeth like his? His heart thumped in his chest.

Inside, the dentist’s office was warm and cozy. There were toys, a big chair that went up and down, and a funny mirror on the wall.
Suddenly, a BIG, friendly voice boomed, “Hello, Buck! I’m Dr. Crunch, the dentist!”
Buck jumped a little. Dr. Crunch was huge and looked like a monster! He had big teeth, just like Buck!

Buck climbed into the big chair. It went up, up, up, and Buck giggled a little.
“Whee! This chair is fun!”
Dr. Crunch put a special shiny light on Buck’s teeth and said, “I’m just going to count your teeth, Buck, just like a fun game. Are you ready?”
Buck nodded.

Hahaha..

Dr. Crunch carefully counted each of Buck’s big teeth, one by one. “One, two, three… and here’s a big one! Four!”
Buck giggled and thought, “This isn’t so bad after all!”
