Pelé's original name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento he received the nickname "Pelé" after he mispronounced the name of his favorite player, a goalkeeper named Bilé.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento also known Pelé was a Brazilian football legend who played as a forward. He was born on the 23rd of October, 1940 in  Três Corações

Pelé started his career at the Brazilian club Santos at only 15 years old. At santos he is the all-time goalscorer with 643 goals in 659 games. he led the club to the 1962 and 1963 Copa Libertadores, and to the 1962 and 1963 Intercontinental Cup.
